President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Jawhar Izamov, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan.
Thanking for great opportunity to meet, the Ambassador expressed his deep gratitude to the Head of the state for a wide range contribution to strengthening development of Turkmen-Uzbek partnership, as well as benevolence. The Ambassador underlined that In Uzbekistan it is highly appreciate and fully supported a wise policy carried out by the Turkmen leader who put forward important international initiatives aimed at strengthening foundations of peace, stability and prosperity at the regional and global levels.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized to pay special attention to strengthen friendly relations with its nearby neighbors, including Uzbekistan, which since the beginning of time it ties not only geographical contacts but also deep historical roots, common culture, language and traditions of brotherly nations.
It was kindly noted the high level of bilateral cooperation, the Head of state thanked Jawhar Izamov for his fruitful work and significant personal contribution to the development of the Turkmen-Uzbek dialogue built from the standpoint of equality and mutual benefits.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the whole range of bilateral cooperation, including a number of priority areas in trade and economic sphere, fuel and energy, transport and communications, agriculture, and tourism sectors. In humanitarian sphere, it was noted the importance of intensifying fruitful contacts in the field of culture, education and science.
The Head of state and the Uzbek diplomat expressed mutual confidence that the fruitful inter-state relations fully meet the interests of the two neighboring countries, and will continue its steadily development.
