President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Ahal Velayat and the Turkmen capital

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Ahal Velayat and the Turkmen capital. Within the framework of the trip, the leader of the Turkmen state participated in the ceremony of laying foundation of a new apartment house in Anau in Ak Bugdai Etrap and the opening ceremony of the Furniture Complex of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in Ak Bugdai Etrap as well as saw the progress of construction works in the Olympic Village in Ashgabat.


The President of Turkmenistan drove to Ak Bugday Etrap in Ahal Velayat to attend the ceremony of laying foundation of a new apartment house. The Chairperson of Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law-enforcement agencies, inistries and departments, Ahal Velayat and Ashgabat Hyakims as well as local citizens heartly greeted the President.

Girls dressed in national costumes presented flowers to the leader of the Turkmen state. The Ahal Velayat elders offered bread and salt to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Talking to the elders, the Turkmen leader asked them about their health and concerns.


The leader of Turkmenistan underlined the importance of the socially oriented policy pursued by our state with the aim to increase the living standards, including housing conditions. That is vividly proved by the launch of construction of several apartment houses in Anau.

At the request of young citizens of Anau, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wrote an entry in commemoration of the remarkable event. The Turkmen leader put the capsule with the message in the foundation of one of the buildings to the applause of those present. The President threw the first shovels of concrete into the foundation pit giving start to the construction project. The elders and other ceremony participants followed the Turkmen leader.


Bidding farewell to all those present, the Turkmen leader wished them prosperity and every success in their work and left the venue.

Then the Turkmen leader headed for the Furniture Complex of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan built on the territory of Ak Bugdai Etrap in Ahal Velayat. 18 private enterprises specializing in the manufacturing of different kinds of furniture are located on the 50-hectare territory of the complex.


President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov drove to the Furniture Complex, where a festive atmosphere reigned. The ceremony participants, including the members and heads of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs greeted the President of Turkmenistan.

Greeting all those present, the President talked to Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs A. Dadaev, who told about the new Furniture Complex, its capacity, main areas and specific aspects of work. It should be noted that low-cost, light and stable materials were used to build the industrial building that significantly reduced the costs of construction works contributing to the price competitiveness of products to be manufactured at the complex.


Then the Turkmen leader headed for the production building of the Turkmen Mebel enterprise. In a solemn atmosphere, to the applause of the ceremony participants, the President cut the ribbon and opened the new facility.

The Turkmen leader visited the production department and got acquainted with equipment, organization of work and furniture manufactured at the enterprise. Turkmen Mebel specializes in the manufacturing home furniture, including wall cabinets, bedroom, kitchen and hall furniture sets, as well as office furniture, including bookcases and tables. Modern materials, which are widely used in the furniture industry are used to manufacture furniture products designed by local specialists at the complex.


When visiting the production department, the Turkmen leader asked about equipment, manufacturing technologies and specific aspects of the furniture production processes, the range and kinds of furniture paying particular attention to its quality. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmen entrepreneurs had achieved great success in this area within the last years, and furniture manufactured by Turkmen specialists were in high demand at the local market.

The President examined the first sets of furniture, including bedroom sets, children beds and office furniture. The President of Turkmenistan demonstrated a keen interest in the machines for cutting and facing details used to assemble finished products. Computer technology, which help to draw various pictures on the surface of furniture was demonstrated to the Turkmen leader.


The President visited the exposition of furniture products manufactured by the enterprises of the Furniture Complex and other private enterprises.

The President also got acquainted with furniture manufactured by the Sahym-Sa private enterprise exhibited on the territory of the complex. Metal products, pipes, roofing materials, etc. were exhibited there. The head of the private enterprise told the Turkmen leader about the range of products manufactured at the enterprise and the areas of their use.


Emphasizing that furniture and other products manufactured by Turkmen private enterprises should be widely used to furnish numerous newly built buildings and facilities throughout the country, the Turkmen leader gave the high-ranking officials specific instructions in this regard.

Underlining that furniture and other products manufactured by the private enterprises should be used to equip the newly constructed buildings in all regions of the country, the leader of the state specific instructions in this regard.


Wishing the ceremony participants every success in their activity, the President left the venue.

The Turkmen leader visited the Olympic Village in Ashgabat to see the progress of construction works. The Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ashgabat Hyakim, the Chairman of the V Asian Games Executive Committee and other officials greeted the Turkmen leader at the Olympic Village.


Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers S. Toilyev and Chairman of the V Asian Games Executive Committee D. Gulgeldiev reported on the progress of construction work at the Olympic Village and preparations for the horse marathon on occasion of the 500-day countdown to the 2017 Asian Games.

It was noted that the special programme on offering a wide range of services during the upcoming large-scale continental competitions, which would be held at the highest organizational level, was developed. The present preparatory stage and specific schedule of events are the important parts of the works planned. In this regard, the specific areas of the complex work were identified to ensure the successful fulfilment of the assigned tasks.


Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Executive Secretary of the Office of the President of Turkmenistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Sh. Durdylyev demonstrated the draftings and projects to the Turkmen leader and reported on the progress of construction works of the Olympic Village facilities, their design, equipment and the measures taken to ensure the high quality of work.

Commenting on the report and the draftings and projects, the Turkmen leader gave specific comments and made some changes. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the Olympic Village would play an important role in making Turkmenistan a centre for international competitions in various sports. In this context, the Turkmen leader underlined that the high quality of facilities built in the Olympic Village and adherence to the schedule were the most significant requirement.


Reporting on the programme of cultural events on occasion of the 500-day countdown to the 2017 Asian Games, Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Mammedova reported on the programme of cultural events to be organized along the route of the horse marathon.


Examining newly built facilities and projects under construction in the Olympic Village, the Turkmen leader noted that the construction of the majority of facilities and the monorail and number of colourful fountains had been completed. Commenting on the defects in design of some facilities, the Turkmen leader instructed the relevant officials to eliminate them as soon as possible.
