Turkmenistan held celebrations on the occasion of Victory Day

On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Great Victory in World War II, in the capital and the entire regions of the country, the Turkmen people arrange a celebration in honor of the heroes of Turkmenistan, for those who fought, showing unprecedented courage and heroism, were at the fronts of the bloodiest war in XX century.

Early in the morning, thousands of citizens and guests of Ashgabat came to the Memorial complex to pay tribute to the cherished memory to those who died for the bright future of the present and future generations. Among participants are heads of public organizations, honorable elders, and representatives of labor communities, organizations and institutions, young people, students.


Among the honorary participants of the festivities are front-line war veterans and selfless home front workers. On the square in front of Memorial complex there are Turkmen soldiers standing shoulder to shoulder with veterans. Today they are in military services, protecting native state frontiers of Independent Neutral Turkmenistan.


On the square of the memorial monument in Ashgabat ones paid tribute to in-depth respect to warriors who perished in the 1941-1945 war. War veterans, representatives of military and law enforcement bodies, public organizations, labor communities and citizens of the capital laid flowers to the esplanade which leads to the “Eternal Flame“ memorial monument. In a few minutes, the beautiful flowers like fragrant carpets covered the pedestal of the monument.

On the occasion of the glorious date in all parts of the country the citizens of towns and villages pay tribute to the valiant defender of the Motherland, laid flowers at the monuments and obelisks built in honor of National Heroes those who have died for their country in the 1941-1945 war. On concert stages in all centers of regions and counties were held performances of creative groups.
