On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received the letters of credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in Turkmenistan Mr. Janos Kovacs.
On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, the Chairperson of the National Parliament congratulated the diplomat on the beginning of the diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan and wished him every success in his work aimed at strengthening the ties of friendship and enhancing multi-faceted cooperation between Turkmenistan and Hungary.

Highly evaluating the foreign-policy course pursued by neutral Turkmenistan, the diplomat expressed the willingness of his country in the further development of the interstate relations at the bilateral and multilateral basis, including within the European Union, the United Nations Organisation and other authoritative international organisations.
During the meeting, the diplomat was briefed on the main aspects of the state policy of Turkmenistan. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities for enhancing bilateral interparliamentary relations that would contribute to intensification of the dialogue between Turkmenistan and Hungary.
The trade and economic sphere, energy, pharmaceutical and food industries, agriculture, water resources management and other areas were specified among the priority spheres of the interstate partnership.
Underlining the importance of widening the frameworks of economic cooperation, the Ambassador noted that Hungarian businessmen expressed keen interest in the promising Turkmen market. It was also emphasized on the reasonability to hold bilateral business forums and cultural events.
In conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Janos Kovacs assured the Turkmen leader that as the authorized representative of his country in Turkmenistan, he would actively contribute to the further enhancement of the multi-faceted and efficient cooperation satisfying the interests of the two peoples and stares.
