Within the framework of the second day of the official visit of the Turkmen leader to the Republic of Belarus, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Alexander Lukashenko attended the opening ceremony of the new building complex of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the capital of the friendly country.
Early in the morning, the motorcade of the President of Turkmenistan left the Zaslavl State Residence and headed to the venue of the opening ceremony of the building complex of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus.
The high ranking officials of the two countries, heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Belarus and international organizations as well as journalists gathered together to take part in the ceremony.
As is known, the ceremony of laying the foundation of the building complex of the diplomatic mission of our country in Minsk took place during the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus in October 2014.
The white-marble three-store building was erected in one of the prestigious districts in Minsk. The architectural design of the building complex harmoniously combines the modern trends, centuries-old traditions of Turkmen architecture and national décor. The building complex hosts the administrative building, apartment house and relevant engineering facilities.
The ceremony brought together many citizens of Turkmenistan, including students, who are studying at higher educational institutions in the friendly country.
Greeting the ceremony participants, the Turkmen leader talked to the specialists of the construction company, which implemented the project on construction of the building complex. The President of Turkmenistan thanked the builders for their work done at the high level and wished them strong health and every success in their activities.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also talked to the heads of diplomatic missions and representations accredited in the Republic of Belarus.

The building occupying an area of 5,615 square metres includes offices for the specialists of the diplomatic mission and meeting rooms, the consular department, and the archive room equipped with modern office furniture and advanced technologies. There are also conference hall, exposition hall and banquet hall in the building.
The territory of the complex includes car parking, kitchen, dining room and a large winter garden.
The leaders of the two states entered the new office of the Embassy, where all necessary conditions for efficient work of diplomats were created.
The consular department is located on the ground floor of the administrative building. The leaders of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus were briefed on the specific aspects of work of the consular department, the main tasks and functions of this unit. The most modern equipment used in the consular services is installed in the new office.

Then the Leaders of two countries proceeded to the accommodation for the Embassy’s employees. Overall area of 8-store building is 1622 square meters. Two by four, two by three, and fourby two room apartments are located there. The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Republic of Belarus went to one of the apartments and familiarized with the conditions made for comfort living of Turkmen diplomats. All apartments are distinguished by convenient layout. All necessary furniture and household appliances are at disposal of the new tenants.
