The Head of State inspected the undergoing work on beautification and greening of suburban areas of Ashgabat aimed at creating new look with regard to large-scale preparations for the 2017 V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts.
On the initiative of the Leader of the State, it is undergoing large-scale plans for greening of cities and villages of the country, every city, villages, near the foothills, the coast of canals and rivers, on the sea coast. “Taking care of the nature, thus, we take care of the well being of future generations”,- stressed the Head of State.
”The Greenery Development Strategy” is considered by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as one of the mechanisms for sustainable economic and social progress of Turkmenistan, based on the best practices, innovative technologies and centuries-old national tradition. Ecological concept of a growth aimed ultimately at improvement of quality of life to make beautiful nature, environmentally sound and prosperous country.
During the observation trip around the capital city, the Turkmen leader noted that it had not been taken proper care for saplings and trees in the landscapes designated to departmental organizations. In this context, the remarks refers to Environmental Protection State Committee of Land Resources and Environment with the requirement to strengthen the control over the organization and methodical support of greenery works, designed to promote environmental well-being of the capital, which serve as adornment of its boundaries.
The Head of State noted that the appearance of the main city of the country must comply with its growing international role, as well as honorable and responsible mission to become the sport capital of Asia in 2017. The same applies to all areas of the city’s beautification by creating park zones to set aesthetic and comfortable environment.
As President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, the experience that was acquired in Ashgabat would be useful for other cities in the country, thus, it was necessary to constantly improve the mechanism of urban infrastructure management, multi-sector economy of the capital, the provision of services, etc. The Head of State pointed out that the perfect order was needed to systematically provide not only at the center on the main avenues of the capital, but also in residential areas, and in the areas adjacent to the city. Only this way, work will be meaningful and resultative.
During the detour Turkmen leader stopped in the location area of one of the frontier posts. Here, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was reported by the Chief of the State Border Service B. Gundogdyyev.

By receiving the report of the rector of the university, the Head of State was familiarized with the landscaping of the institutional camp, including the state of greenery. It was given fitting comments to university’s management noting that the high school that prepares the defenders of the sacred borders of the Motherland should be entirely role models. The Turkmen leader gave specific instructions to address these issues.
