We, the people of Turkmenistan, love our capital - the white marble flower bloomed on the edge of desert at the foot of Blue Mountains of Kopetdag. And we are pleased to hear and read reviews of our favorite city in which our guests - politicians, scientists, businessmen, and workers of culture admire the bewitching beauty of Ashgabat, the rapid changes taking place in it, the hospitality and sincere friendliness of its residents. Let’s give a floor to guests of the Turkmen capital.

Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko born on Turkmen land: “The appearance of present Turkmen cities is a symbol of progress and manufacturability. And in the shape of the country’s capital - beautiful white marble Ashgabat, I see something cosmic. Silhouettes of soaring buildings look like launch vehicles on the launch pad, creating for the capital a unique image of city of future.”

Head of the Central Asian office of the National Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board Norliza Zain: “For the first time having been in Turkmenistan before performing with my delegation of the first flight Ashgabat - Kuala Lumpur, I was struck by the beauty of your capital. Ashgabat is unique in itself, its magnificent white marble architecture is no less impressive than the monuments of antiquity, and it is very well maintained, clean modern city with a high standard of living. At that, everywhere, it is felt the link of the past and the present. All this was possible owing to great merit of the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.”

The famous Italian composer and singer Toto Kutuno: “To be honest, I previously did not know much about this country and its capital, but now, after a walk in Ashgabat, I can sincerely say that this city is magic ... I was impressed with snow-white color of the city . At night, it is particularly beautiful - a lot of light, these fabulous palaces and buildings. I have seen many cities in the world, Paris, Moscow and many others, but Ashgabat is very special city. During these two days, I could feel how much joyful and soulful people you are.”

Foreign participant of Novruz-2016 Inita Schveider, director of the Latvian “Baltatour” Tourism Company: “As soon as we arrived in the Turkmen capital, I was first struck by whiteness of Ashgabat. It is so festive, clean, bright, especially in the evening that unwittingly compare it with the magic city.... That’s what we saw on green hills of the valley of Novruz, it is possible to identify with colorful illustrations of historical chronicles, which keep the recorded bright scenes of life of the Turkmen people from ancient times to our days.”

Famous Russian film director and actor, winner of the American Academy Award Oscar Vladimir Menshov: “Just within few days that we spent here, I have some “stunned” by what I saw. This is the city from my childhood, when I was fond of reading fiction. Being in Ashgabat, I see that now it is a reality. It could be the best kind for filming of a sci-fi blockbuster; I am deeply convinced of this. After passing through the city streets in the evening, I was struck by the lack of “traffic jams”; especially it is strongly felt after Moscow highways. Everything is moving in a calm rhythm, the city sparkles, shines in lights of illuminations, as though it lives in the eternal enchanting holiday. Perhaps, this is the strongest impression and it was your city that made it. God grant that it has managed to retain its unique style and feelings it excites for years to come. We are pleased for visiting Ashgabat and the warm atmosphere of love and friendship that prevails in multinational friendly state.”

Professor of Tokyo University Terue Okada: “From year to year, Ashgabat becomes more beautiful, changing before our eyes. But, my attitude to this city never changes. I do not get tired to admire, as, indeed, your whole country, your incredibly hospitable and friendly people.”

Famous Russian singer, the winner of “Eurovision-2008”, winner of awards of MTV , “Muz-TV”, World Music Awards and “Golden Gramophone” and numerous other music awards Dima Bilan: “I first had the opportunity to visit wonderful Ashgabat, but before that, I very much heard about this beautiful city. My friends from Ashgabat told a lot about the great reforms taking place in the Turkmen capital, about new buildings, construction of new roads. And today, I was lucky enough to see the white marble city, which produced indelible impressions on me by the breadth of its streets and beauty of the office buildings, apartment buildings, fountains and parks.”

Associate Professor of Finance University at the Government of the Russian Federation Iosif Zaya: “For me, as for many people, staying in Ashgabat became stunning event. It is not like any other city of the world, although I have been in many countries and seen various beautiful and interesting cities. Your Ashgabat looks like a fairy tale, and therefore, I am particularly pleased to stay here.”
