In this aspect, the perspectives of cooperation in the area of enhancement of training process, preparation and improvement of professional mastery of sportsmen and coaches as well as opportunities to hold large international cycle racing competitions in Turkmenistan, in particular on new cycle track in the capital Olympic village what has special meaning on the threshold of upcoming Asian Games – 2017 in Ashgabat were discussed.
As it was emphasized by Igor Makarov, owing to tireless selfless activity of the Head of the State aimed at promotion and activation of mass sport and recreation movement in the country, the prestige of Turkmenistan on world sport arena is constantly growing. Being a big supporter and propagandist of healthy life style, Turkmen Leader gives obvious example his compatriots in this inspiring everybody and first of all the youth for regular exercises and sport. It was mentioned that modern multifunctional sport infrastructure forming up in our country and meeting high international standards creates favourable prerequisite for organization and conduct of international level competitions in different sport disciplines including cycle racing.
Having confirmed the interest of Turkmenistan in further expansion of fruitful cooperation with foreign partners in the sport fields, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that our country is willing to consider proposals of “Areti” which, being sponsor of the famous Russian cycle team “Katyusha” has relevant experience in this sphere.
