President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan, which reviewed the results of the military and law enforcement agencies for the period of five months of this year. Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defence Ya. Berdiyev was the first presenter who reported on the work outcomes for the period of January-May. He stated that ongoing current activities aimed at training of highly qualified specialists in all structures of Ministry, introducing the international best practices, new technologies, increasing and improving the quality of education in all military structures within the framework of a current large-scale reform.
Minister also informed that this year Specialized Military School №1 named after B.Annayev held the first graduation of students. Also the head of state was informed about the ongoing work on the preparation of the grand military parade on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of Independence.
Then, the floor was given to Chief of the State Border Service B.Gundogdiyev, who reported on the activity of the structure headed by him for five months of this year and the fulfillment of the earlier given instructions by the head of the state to ensure safety and inaccessibility borders of the Motherland, to modernize border posts and to enhance skills of border guards.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan I. Mulikov reported on work outcomes of the structures under his supervision during the reporting period, and measures taken to maintain law and order in the state and society, to prevent any kind of offenses, including fire safety. Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan also focused on implementation of daily plans to ensure well coordinated traffic flow in the capital city and throughout the country, and issues on road safety.
Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan A.Halliyev reported on the situation in the structure under his supervision, presenting a report on the work progress for the period of five months of 2016, the specific steps taken by the prosecutor's office to oversee the strict observance of the rule of law in the state and society. Reporting on the fulfillment of the earlier given orders by the head of the state, Prosecutor General informed of preparation activities to mark the day of Prosecutor's Office Employees.
Chairman of the Supreme Court B. Chariyev reported on implementation at the beginning of this year the issues on development of the judicial system and legal procedures, the fulfillment of earlier given guidelines to protect state and public interests.
Then, the floor was given to the Head of Ministry of National Security D. Bayramov, who reported on the work performance for the reporting period, paying attention to specific measures taken to ensure national security, a determining factor to achieve great tasks in our historical era.
Then, it was heard the report of the Chairman of the State Customs Service M.Chakyyev, who reported on the status of the supervised structures for the period of January-May of this year. Noting that Turkmenistan is becoming a major transit and transportation center of the Region, therefore, is steadily increasing a number of transportation transits through the territory of our country, the head of the service underlined that large-scale customs works is taken measures in accordance with requirements of the time.
Chairman of the State Migration Service M.Nobatov reported on the work outcomes during the reporting period, inter alia, implementation of earlier given orders by the head of state on improvement of migration procedures.
Then, the floor was given to Minister of Justice of Turkmenistan B.Muhammedov who informed the head of state about the status of work of departments under his supervision to enhance and improve the legislative framework, bringing it in line with modern requirements and generally accepted standards of international law, clarifying and raising awareness of current legislation for general public.
