In his story about the development of international relations in the Astrakhan region in the studio of the Evening Astrakhan program on the Astrakhan 24 TV channel, Deputy Head of the Regional Agency for International Relations Alexei Aydin also touched upon relations with Turkmenistan, a new impetus for which was given during the recent working visit of Governor Igor Babushkin to Ashgabat.
As it was noted, the visit was held at a high level - the governor of the Astrakhan region was received by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and voiced proposals that received support. The talk was about interaction in the field of shipbuilding, in the field of transport and logistics, trade, tourism and education. Aleksey Aydin emphasized, in particular, that negotiations on the opening of a Turkmen logistics center in Astrakhan are moving into a practical plane, and this significant project will increase the turnover of partners.
During the conversation on the Astrakhan 24 TV channel, issues of cooperation in the field of education were also touched upon. Noting that all the Caspian countries are represented in the higher educational institutions of the Astrakhan region, the deputy head of the Agency for International Relations of the region stated that Astrakhan universities are very popular with Turkmen students. “This issue was discussed by Igor Yuryevich Babushkin with the President of Turkmenistan. In the future, there is an increase in the number of Turkmen students in our universities, ”said Aleksey Aydin.
In this regard, it can be noted that Turkmen students studying at Russian universities not only successfully master professions in demand at home, but also actively study the culture and language of the host country. Thus, Turkmen students won the Astrakhan Russian language competition held in November. The competition of creative projects in the Russian language, dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding lexicographer Vladimir Dal, was held at the Astrakhan State University. Foreign students from the Perm State National Research University and three Astrakhan universities - ASU, ASTU and ASMU prepared their works for the competition. According to the results of the competition, the project team of Turkmen students of Perm University was recognized as the winner. The second place was taken by the members of the international team from ASTU (consisting of students from Morocco, Egypt, Guinea-Bissau, Cameroon), the third - the project team of Turkmen students of ASU.
