Having exchanged views on the prospects of further strengthening the Turkmen-Chinese relations, the history of which originates of the Great Silk Road’s time, the Turkmen leader and the head of International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China noted with satisfaction that in recent years, despite the global financial and economic crisis, there is undergoing a development process of constructive interstate dialogue, which gives a long-term, strategic nature.
By all accounts, the centuries-old traditions of friendship, trust and mutual understanding between two countries and nations, supported by regular and extremely productive contacts at the various levels, and create a favorable framework for effective cooperation in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. So, good impulses are being received by cooperation in the fields of transport and communications, computer technology, and education. As is known, 5 thousand Turkmen students are being trained each year in China's universities.

A separate discussion theme is the partnership in the field of transport, which brings into life the idea of reviving the Great Silk Road and enhancing the role of Turkmenistan as an important transport and transit center, paying great attention to the creation of modern, well-developed transport infrastructure, including construction of modern steel and highways, motor ways, autobahn, railway lines, bridges over major rivers, etc.
Speaking about the importance of deepening comprehensive ties, the Turkmen leader noted the effectiveness of the establishment of the closest contacts between the parties and two countries' parliaments.
