On June 23, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov leaves for working visit to Republic of Uzbekistan, where by the invitation of Uzbekistan Leader Islam Karimov he will take part as honoured guest in anniversary 15th session of the Council of the Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which is going to be held in Tashkent during these days.
Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov undertakes the visit to friendly neighbouring country chosen for another representative forum according to main foreign policy course of independent neutral Turkmenistan aimed at consolidation of constructive international cooperation and utmost strengthening of centuries old traditions of friendship and good neighbouring, which are most important factors in regional and global security.
As it is known, our country is full member of more than 40 international structures and pays great importance to comprehensive development of the partnership in the largest organizations. Being deeply interested in successful integration to the world political and economic space, our state take most active part in the sessions of high-level international organizations while not being the member of them. One of them is Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which main targets are consolidation of efforts for global peace, security and sustainable development, progress of economic partnership, broad scientific and cultural cooperation based on the principles of equal rights, trust and respect.
Cooperation with SCO observing 15th anniversary from the date of its foundation has wide perspectives in the context of interregional relations, serving the targets of maximum involvement of present potential for full development of national economies and their successful integration in world economic system.
As it is expected, besides the states members of this regional organization - People’s Republic of China, Russian Federation, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Uzbekistan and Republic of Tajikistan, representative of the number of countries having the status of observers in SCO will take part in the current session.
The high-level meeting demonstrating total adherence of the countries of the region to sustainable development in XXI century is summoned to develop general strategy of development of this competent organization until 2025, review practical measures for consolidation of political, trade economic and cultural humanitarian relations as well as implementation of new joint projects and programmes.
The agenda of the summit includes the subjects related to admission of Republic of India and Islamic Republic of Pakistan in organization, perspectives of further improvement of the SCO activity in the context of its expansion, improvement of its role as one of the participants of modern system of international relations.
Regular participation of Turkmen part in such high-level meetings serves directly to expansion of positive cooperation of Turkmenistan with both largest international organizations and separate country-members.
As it is expected, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will have number of bilateral meetings where subjects of interstate cooperation on actual directions will be discussed.
