Having warmly greeted each other, the Leaders of two countries stated with delight the high level of centuries-old Turkmen – Iranian good neighbourhood relations actively developed recently based on mutual respect and rich friendship experience, having underlined the efficiency of interstate relations in trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Hassan Rouhani also exchange their greetings on occasion of Oraza bayramy Holiday, having addressed wishes of peace, prosperity and wellbeing to Turkmen and Iranian people.

During telephone conversation, the Sides stressed the attention on priority directions of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iran in the context of realization of previous agreements as well as growing partnership capabilities both in bilateral and regional formats.

In the framework of the dialog, the Head of two friendly countries also dwelt upon the number of topical issue of international politics presented mutual interest. Having mentioned coincidence of positions on vital subjects of today especially consolidation of efforts in provision of peace and sustainable development, the interlocutors highlighted that constructive cooperation in this direction meets common targets and national interests.

In conclusion of the conversation, having expressed the confidence in further expansion of Turkmen – Iranian cooperation filled with new content at present stage, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Hassan Rouhani exchanged good wishes to each other and peoples of both countries.
