According to directions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of Mejlis A. Nurberdiyeva received credentials of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of South Sudan in Turkmenistan Telar Ring Deng.
On behalf of the Turkmen leader, the head of the National Parliament congratulated the authorized representative on the appointment to the high diplomatic post and wished successes in strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between Turkmenistan and South Sudan.
During the talks, the diplomat is informed on the main directions of foreign and domestic policies carried out by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the large-scale progressive reforms are undertaking in the country, and implemented major projects at international level in accordance with the initiative of the leader of the nation.
Particular emphasis is focused on the reforms in the spheres of science, education, health, tourism and sports development actively carried out to preparation of the Ashgabat large scale sports forum – the 2017 Asian Games.
Ambassador of the Republic of South Sudan is familiarized with the structure and legislative activities of the National Parliament.
Having showed great interest in the progressive transformation taking place in modern Turkmenistan, Telara Ring Deng notes that he considers a great honor to represent his country to peacekeeper state which has achieved impressive progress in socio-economic and cultural developments. Speaking about the possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation, the diplomat noted to enhance cooperation in the bilateral format within the reputable international organizations.
During the meeting it was stressed the need to build interstate relations, in particular, the cultural dialogue conducive to strengthening the ties of friendship and mutual understanding between two nations, and to focus on inter-parliamentary relations.

Cooperation outlooks in the fields of fuel and energy and health will be the main topic of discussion during the meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Mr. Telara Ring Deng and the members of the accompanying delegation of the relevant line ministries.
In the framework of cultural program, the diplomat will visit the International Equestrian Sports Complex; will get acquainted with the museums’ expositions of the Turkmen capital and the sightseeing of Ashgabat.
