Establishment of new model of Turkmen village is summoned to assert new standards of living conditions of farmers, improvement of economic and investment mechanisms of village development taking to account modern reality and further perspective.
In the morning, the Head of the State, who is currently on working visit in Lebap velayat, left by helicopter to Garabekevul etrap. After some time, the helicopter of the Leader of the Nation has landed at special helipad near Berkarar Zaman. This new village for 600 houses spread for 210 hectares of near oasis lands between Turkmenabat – Atamyrat highway and railroad 32 kilometres away fro administration centre of etrap.
On occasion of momentous event, the Chairperson of Mejlis, Deputies Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers, leaders of ministries and departments, military and law enforcement agencies, hyakim of Lebap velayat, leaders of mass media, representatives of the community, numerous new settlers and guests who arrived to celebration event gathered there.
Under storm of applause, the Leader of the Nation cut symbolic ribbon and opened Berkarar Zaman village where all conditions of comfort living of people created with account of national way of life and interesting ideas of Lebap project designers and architects are implemented.
Artificial oasis – modern settlement with snow-white buildings, green plantations, flowerbeds, lawns sprung up for four years at the deserted place where sun and wind were ruling for ages. The efforts of thousands of builders and fitters, power engineering and public utility specialists, mechanics and drivers, engineers, superintendents and supervisors were crowned with success. Thirty streets with asphalt automobile roads and pavements, power lines with original lanterns, orderly rows of accommodation buildings and social and cultural facilities delight the eye.
Builders of largest velayat Production Association “Lebapstroy” properly carried out the key subject of construction of new village. They were entrusted with construction of 600 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom apartment houses of high comfort and kindergarten as well. The work was done properly, maximum of comfort and convenience were created for new tenants in all facilities. Rooms with walls of one and half brick thickness, providing high seismic resistance and good heat insulation and sound proofing, are spacious, light and with high ceiling.
For example, total area of 4-room house is 132 square meters. There is well-equipped kitchen. Modern decoration materials were used in design. Stand-alone mini gas boiler will provide the heating during autumn – winter season.
Labour, production and technical resources and other state construction and assembly and specialized organizations were involved during construction of facilities of Berkarar Zaman. Private construction enterprises and companies took active part in realization of the large-scale project as well.
School for 640 pupils, kindergarten for 280 kids, clinic with pharmacy, gengeshlik, ATN with 650 lines, trade centres with multisectoral market, public service house, four grocery and consumer goods shops are erected in the village as well.
All facilities provided with advanced equipment from famous world producers. All necessary conditions for quality medical aid, diagnostics and consultancy service are created in the village clinic. There are modern x-ray, surgical, dental, therapeutic, treatment and other rooms as ultrasonic scanning, ECG, laboratory.
There are classrooms with interactive multimedia boards, language and computer laboratories, and special rooms for handcraft study of boys and girls in secondary school for 640 pupils provided with modern equipment. There are library with reading room, lecture hall, canteen, first-aid post, gym and open sport grounds at disposal of teachers and pupils,
280 kids will feel comfort and interest in modern kindergarten with computer and language classrooms, art studios, summer terraces and playgrounds, spacious and light bedrooms with soft children’s furniture, gym and music hall, canteen, first-aid point.
The issues of road and engineering communications were successfully addressed. New village has 18.3 kilometres waterline made of highly durable synthetic anti-corrosion pipes, more than 21 kilometres of sewage network, 37 kilometres of gas main, more than 47 kilometres of power lines and 27 kilometres of asphalted roads. Transformer power substation, pump station with water treatment facility, fire depot are built.
Every family in the village was allotted with 16 hundred square metres of land. New tenants at their own discretion will built all necessary farming facilities for livestock and poultry breeding or lay out garden and farm.
The functioning of complex of social and cultural and public service infrastructure considerably supported the employment of tenants, mainly new families from different places of dayhan association and administrative centre of Garabekevuk etrap, who wished to live in new village. Besides, agricultural enterprises will be developed around the village in future perspective and compact processing facilities will be opened in the village what will provide hundreds of occupations.
President of Turkmenistan together with young residents of Berkarar Zaman village started the tour through new living estate. On approaches to village trade, centre sonorous barkers invited all and everyone vied with each other lavishing their goods. The impression was increasing from songs and dances at performed bazar entrance. The trade centre was built by local private companies – members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The leader of the Nation started the tour through Berkarar Zaman village from familiarization with new market arrangement, organization of trade and variety of goods.
Here, besides open versatile market traditional for oriental bazars, special sale points where everything necessary for home and housekeeping like fresh meat, canned products, vegetable, fruits, juices and drinks, jeans and sport suits, national dresses, tools for work at home and in the farm, kitchen units, horse accessories and vehicle spare parts and many other things can be purchased, present their goods and services. It is remarkable that most of the goods are of local origin and compete deservingly with foreign analogues.
Refined items of zergers (jewellers) made in both traditional style and modern adornments with elements of national jewellery art attract invariably special interest of buyers.
Having finished examination of the Trade centre, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov continued his way along the street where colourful folk performances embodying national traditions and celebration customs of our people, different family rites from celebration of childbirth to honouring of elder man, who reached the age of the Prophet – “ak goyun toy” were expanded.
Most picturesque of all rites – wedding ceremony adorning current event with bright colours of original Turkmen culture became the culmination.
Continuing his way, Turkmen leader approached “Palace of ceremonies” where young couples celebrated the wedding following national traditions and customs. The parents of bride and groom addressed them with words of encouragement wishing health, prosperity and many years of joint life filled with love and understanding.
The Head of the State also greeted the participants of the celebration of elders, having asked them on current activities and concerns during conversation. In conclusion of the stay in this modern village, the Leader of the Nation proceeded to the territory allocated for park zone. Here, he planted first young tree, having given the start to future park. All participants of the event joined to planting of trees.
