The owner of this honorary title was conferred to the city doctor of sanitary-epidemiological service Shirin Welanova. The annual contest is organized by Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan jointly with National Trade Union of Turkmenistan. Traditionally, the conclusion of the contest "The Best Doctor of the Year" opened the program of events dedicated to the Health Care and Medical Industry Worker's Day of Turkmenistan.
The participants of the final showcasing of the doctors -the winners of the regional and city tournaments and those one who passed the competitive selection are the representatives of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, "Turkmendermansenagat"(Pharmaceutics) Association and the State Medical University of Turkmenistan. Therefore, it was a difficult task for the jury panel to choose the best from the best.
The finalists competed in three nominations. In the framework of the first of it is the presentation where the contestants told about their professional career and hobbies and expressed their personal attitude to innovative achievements of the domestic health care system. The second nomination helped assess the creativity of the contestants. Together with their colleagues, they prepared mini-performances on medical subjects.
The most decisive part of the contest was the third nomination aimed at determining the level of professional knowledge and skills of contestants. All participants are brilliantly managed the tasks. The level of professional preparedness of young doctors has been so high that the jury was unable to identify the best, so the winners were gave additional task, a blitz- test.
According to the jury the best contestant who handle the job was Shirin Welanova, who was conferred the title of "The Best Doctor of the Year" and the main prize on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. Valuable gifts on behalf of the head of the state received the rest of the contestants.
