The results of the past two months of this year, summed up at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on Friday, once again confirmed that social priorities and concern for the well-being of the people are at the core of the state policy of Turkmenistan. This is confirmed by the figures and plans announced at it, indicating that the results of a steadily developing national economy, state revenues are directed to improving the lives of the population.
Thus, for large and medium-sized enterprises, the average monthly salary increased by 10.4 percent compared to the same period in 2021. Wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships have been fully funded. As part of the implementation of the new edition of the National Rural Program, 101 social facilities, 35 water treatment facilities, over 326 thousand square meters of housing, as well as infrastructure systems were built. Social facilities make up the majority of facilities under construction with a total value of 37 billion US dollars.
As President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized at a government meeting, such issues as the construction of subordinate facilities, especially social facilities, the implementation of programs to provide the population with housing and clean drinking water should constantly be in the field of view of leaders at various levels. In general, close attention should be paid to further improving the social and living standards of the people.
The country plans in forward effectively to continue economic and social reforms, as well as transformations in the fields of science, education and healthcare, in the field of digitalization and ecology, which is aimed at further developing the country's human capital. The instructions of the head of state on accelerating the transfer of public services to electronic format, providing an abundance of consumer goods and food products in the markets and stores, as well as controlling prices for them, determine specific steps to further improve the living standards of the population.
A clear evidence of the state's concern for large families, the improvement of the living conditions of mothers and children was the decision announced at a government meeting to mark International Women's Day to mothers who have given birth to eight or more children, to give new modern apartments built in the country as a gift. Local authorities were instructed to organize the presentation of gifts and awards to women in a solemn atmosphere in accordance with the Decree of the President of the country on conferring the honorary title of Turkmenistan «Ene mähri» and keys to new apartments to their mothers.
