President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attends the festivities held in honor of Galla Bayramy in the Ashgabat Equestrian Center.
In the morning, in front of the main entrance it comes together Chairman of Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, khyakims of the regions and the city of Ashgabat, as well as the head of accredited diplomatic missions in Turkmenistan. Among the participants of the ceremony - foreign guests, businessmen, who visit our country to share with the Turkmen people the joy of this holiday.
After welcoming the participants, President of Turkmenistan proceeds to the square of the Ashgabat Equestrian Complex having viewed the organized exhibition of agricultural products representing the achievements of the domestic agricultural sector, including grain farming industry. The festive exposures have also showcased regional representatives of the country.
The exhibition displays the genofond of the most important agricultural crops, the potential of the domestic seed farming to be familiarized with perspective varieties of wheat resulted of the painstaking work of the Turkmen breeders and the well-established local soil and climatic conditions.
At the same time, the exhibition represents various types of agricultural goods produced by hardworking farmers of the country, the seeds of various varieties of productive agricultures. The well-known varieties of seeds of melons and gourds are also displayed in the exhibition.
One of the most important crops grown in Turkmenistan, of certainly is cotton, the best varieties of seeds well represented in the festive show. One of the original decorations of the celebration is the map of Turkmenistan made of wheat grains.
Today's celebration greatly impressed our foreign guests. Including Chairman of the Intergovernmental Coordination Council for the seed of the Commonwealth of Independent States, President of the Association "Seeds" of the CIS, Ivan Kuzmin, who expressed his sincere admiration for the success of creative policy pursued by the President of Turkmenistan, representing such an impressive outcomes.
Then, the head of the state proceeds to the tribune installed in the main building of the Ashgabat Equestrian Center. Having warmly congratulated the gathered participant, all agricultural workers on Galla Bayramy- a holiday of generosity and abundance of the fertile Turkmen land, the Turkmen leader notes that it is getting implemented large-scale measures to improve the profitability of agricultural industry complex, it is widely implemented the up-to-date technologies, the latest achievements of science and technology, the best practices.
It is improved legal framework of agricultural sector. It is systematically raised procurement prices for cotton and wheat and created opportunities to increase income of rural workers to have a positive impact on the consistent growth of well-being and welfare of the rural population.
The farmers' associations and farms, agricultural joint-stock companies, landowners, tenants farmers and agricultural research institutions on preferential terms are given available bank loans. Farmers at subsidized prices are provided technical maintenance, fertilizers, high quality seeds and chemical means to control pests.
As stressed, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov indicates that due to expand a large scale work in the agricultural scale it is achieved high labor successes. A vivid example is the award of our country which is conferred by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. Turkmenistan has received this award for impressive achievements in the field of food security, as one of the Millennium Development Goals.
Due to the thoughtful decisions and the undergone reforms of the agricultural sector it is given the opportunities to export, produced in the Turkmen land goods of excellent quality. In this regard, we have allowed realizing in foreign markets our surplus harvested wheat becoming one of the important steps in strengthening the economic power of the country, stressed the head of state.
Thanks to the selfless work of the brave grain growers in the year when we celebrate the glorious 25th anniversary of sacred Independence, on our fertile land and noble crop Ak-Bugday. To prepare more than 1 million 600 thousand tons of selective golden wheat, they have successfully fulfilled their contractual obligations. Then the President of Turkmenistan confers valuable gifts to the advanced farmers, masters of grain growers, who are distinguished with high yields.
On the occasion of Galla Bayramy as a sign of deep respect and gratitude to President of Turkmenistan on behalf of the workers of agricultural sector, all the farmers of the country are presented a gift a magnificent Akhal-Teke horse dun suit. This horse was born in 2013 and is named Gallachy, representing the famous breeding line Peren.
Having ridden a horse, the leader of the nation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov rode toward the racetrack of the hippodrome. As an experienced rider, the President once again demonstrates masterful control of his horse. The horse sensitively responds to all guides movement of the rider.
Celebrations continue traditionally by the horse racing, without which the Turkmen people from time immemorial can not be held any big holiday.
