It is remarkable that all four facilities put into operation – Morphological centre, International Neurology Centre, Centre of Public Health and Nutrition, Centre for Prevention of Dangerous Infections, are awarded with international certificates, which indicates high level of development of population services and architecture in Turkmenistan.
International Neurology Centre, which is included in the structure of the Directorate of International medical centres, became the first among the range of facilities put into operation.
In the morning, the Head of the State arrived to facility where he was met by the Chairperson of Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of Cabinet of Ministers, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies and the Hyakim of Ashgabat. There were German doctors and professors and other foreign guests, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, international organizations, mass media, honoured elders and numerous workers of domestic public health among the participants of the ceremony.
Having given greeting speech, the Head of the State mentioned that human being is the highest value of the state and society. In this context, protection of public health, provision of happy and prosperous life of the people were declared as the priorities of the state policy.
Efficient measures, necessary laws and programmes were undertaken for years of independence, what promoted consolidation of legal bases of national public health system.
Today, we, together with the World health Organization, the Children Fund of the UN as well as with leading scientific and research centres of Germany, Austria, People’s Republic of China, Russian Federation, United States of America, successfully implement large-scale projects – continued Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
President of Turkmenistan highlighted that current ceremony of opening new medical centres provided with most advanced equipment indicates the creation of all conditions by the government for improvement of domestic public health sphere.

New medical centres will give opportunities to use new innovative methods of researches. Moreover, opening of these facilities creates hundreds of employments – the Leader of the Nation mentioned.
Under storm of applause by the participants of the ceremony, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov cut symbolical ribbon and entered the building where he familiarized in details with International Neurology Centre.
White marble construction was erected on intersection of Chandybil avenue and Ataturk street. Five main facilities are included in the complex of more than 23.3 thousand of square meters. This largest neurology clinic is summoned to become main scientific and research, treatment and diagnostic centre of the country, which would be able to deal with any problems in neurology sphere and related issues.
All necessary conditions for treatment of neurology diseases of children and adults are created there. It can accommodate 120 patients. All departments are supplied with world standard equipment including magnetic resonance therapy, computed tomography, angiography, echoencephalography, ultra sonic and for other treatment and diagnostic researches as well as for treatment of acute impairment of cerebral circulation, spinal cord diseases.
During his tour of neurology centre, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visite conference hall on the ground floor where different telemetering equipment was presented. Further, television spacebridge with velayats’ medical facilities was made by direct video.
After, the Leader of the Nation proceeded to department of X-ray diagnostic where specialist spoke in details of innovative technologies in magnetic resonance tomography and angiography and answered the questions of the Leader of the Nation.
In particular, “Siemens” superconducting last generation magnetic resonance apparatus with 3 Tesla of intensity of the magnetic induction is installed here for the first time in Turkmenistan. As for today, this is maximum index for medical diagnostic, which gives most resolution and provides high diagnostic accuracy in researches of brain tissues, early stage anaemia, inflammations, hotbeds of minor damages, difficult vascular diseases.
In x-ray and endovascular room, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov carefully reviewed another apparatus of “Siemens” – top modern angiograph apparatus; our country became one of the first where this appliance was supplied for diagnostic service.

Environmental monitoring based on bio indication method, permanent control of food products including those imported to our country, development of science-based sanitary and epidemiological standards and provisions.
Four-store building of 18 thousand square meters includes departments for control of dangerous infectious diseases, state registry of food products and packing materials, laboratory control of markets, specialized food and environment laboratories, work, community and radioactive hygiene, toxicology, bacteriology, virology, parasitology, epidemiology and immunology with central stock of immunobiological resources.
Departments of information analysis and research-and-production allowing improvement of general laboratories’ network of the country are stipulated there. Specialists of the Centre will do research works in quality and safety of food products and environment sphere, prevention of diseases related to food and water as well works in certain directions of virology, bacteriology and parasitology for detection of sources of infectious diseases.

Modern equipment of international standards creates all conditions for histological studies by histochemical and cytochemical analyses, electron – microscopic methods. It allows to expand information volume for structural and functional changes of tissues of organism.
Research department of the State Medical University included human and topographical anatomy, operational surgery, pathologic anatomy and forensic medicine and law departments are part of educational structure of the centre.
There are interactive sectional desks with 3-D monitors for study of human anatomy by the students.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited forensic chemistry cabinet. The specialist working there told that analyses made there are able to identify around 70 chemicals including rare poisons, destructive substances like plumbum, mercury, arsenic, phosphorus, weed chemicals of herbicide and defoliant types as well as presence in the blood of carbon oxide, methaemoglobin, alcohol, narcotic and psychotropic substances, soporifics, cardial alkaloids and others.
The Head of the State carefully studied the work of steam gas chromatograph by «Agilent» (USA), which is used for the first time in our country. It allows fast analyses of blood, urine and muscular tissues. This plays big role in solution of numerous issues of criminal and civil cases in forensic medicine.
«Applied Biosystem Life Techologies» DNA - analyzing device was installed in relative laboratory for the first time in our country as well.
Leaving the Centre, the Head of the State made commemorative sign in the Book of honourable guests and presented the staff of the facility with three specialized transport units, ambulance, two minibuses and two pickups.
After, the President of the Country proceeded to place of opening ceremony of Centre for Prevention of dangerous Infections. This is another facility that along with the Centre of Public Health and Nutrition will serve for development of infrastructure of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of the country on innovative level. The main purpose of activity of the Centre is protection of Turkmenistan territory from delivery and spreading of most dangerous quarantine infections, which will be conducted by reliable means and modern methods.

The Leader of the Nation was presented with HiSeq 2500 sequencer made by «Illumina» (USA), which works based on innovative technologies. Using most advanced achievements in genetic and molecular sphere, it detects nucleotide sequence of microbial cell and genetic structure of unknown types of infectious agents and study genetic differences, origin and spreading of agents of infectious diseases with known genome.
To provide biological security all experiments and researches are made in consecutive order; all recycled materials in laboratory are being decontaminated by high temperature and pressure, grinded and utilized. Besides, electronic network connecting computers, which accumulate and distribute the information throughout the Centre, is always in operation.
Room for storage of live bacteria was made for the first time in Turkmenistan for systematic scientific study of most dangerous infectious diseases. In this cabinet, samples of microbes of dangerous diseases are being frozen and dried by special method and kept under strict control in specialized freeze cameras.
Work of new apparatus «Liokwist» of Spanish company «Telstar», which has big importance in creation of cultures of living microorganisms, was introduced to Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. One of other features of «Liokwist» apparatus is possibility of study and development of new perspective methods of diagnostic and prevention.
Having left the message in the Book of honourable guests, the Head of the State presented the personnel of Centre with vehicles – two minibuses and two pickups. Mobile laboratory was another gift from the Leader of Nation.
