Four super modern medical centres supplemented infrastructure of Turkmen capital

These are International Neurology Centre, Centre of Public health and Nutrition, Morphological Centre and Centre for Prevention of dangerous Infections. Their opening is timed to day of Health and Medical Industry workers as well as to 21st anniversary of State programme “Health”.

International Neurology Centre located in the south of Ashgabat on the territory of super modern medical compound includes over a dozens of departments provided with advanced equipment. There are range of specialized facilities among standard multisectoral departments of reception, consultation and diagnostic, functional diagnostic and endoscopic tests, x-ray and surgery, anaesthesiology and intensive care. There are departments of angiography and acute impairment of cerebral circulation, early rehabilitation of patients with impairment of cerebral circulation and surgical treatment of these pathologies. There are departments of general neurology and physiotherapy with rehabilitation rooms. The equipment of clinical and diagnostic laboratories allows quick and quality broad spectrum of all necessary researches.

The Centre of public health and nutrition with super modern equipment and technologies will become the main facility of State sanitary and epidemiology service for scientific and research, practical and methodological, analytical and laboratory researches.

Innovative technologies and practices of sanitary and hygiene, epidemiological and food services will be implemented there; work of related laboratories and their monitoring will be implemented. New educational centre includes special subject, which will be studied by specialists of the state sanitary and epidemiological service and medical departments of the country as well as by students of State Medical University.

Two other centres are located in the north of the capital near the complex of Centre of infection diseases.

Morphological Centre is health-treating body of the Ministry of Public Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. It includes central forensic and pathoanatomical departments financed from budget as well as research department of Turkmen State Medical University, numbers of faculties of medical university like human anatomy, topographical anatomy and operative surgery, pathological anatomy, forensic medicine and law.

The Centre of Prevention of dangerous infections of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service is summoned to take the measures for protection of the country from input and expansion of dangerous infections. It will coordinate preventative activities aimed at spread of dangerous and quarantine diseases. It includes several departments like laboratory, epidemiology, analysis and broadcasting, training of personnel, zoology, parasitology, livestock care, disinfection and deratization. There are 18 vehicles of different purposes, which are able to work offroad, in the fleet of the Centre.

Special attention was paid to training of qualified medical personnel, which would have to work in specialized complexes meeting high standard of public health. Formation of new super modern and multifunctional medical centres indicates social dominant in multispectral strategy of development of the Turkmen State.
