At the end of the working trip to Mary velayat, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held offsite joint session of Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council in Mary airport.
The agenda of the session included topical subjects of development of national economy under international integration and expansion of trade and economic relations, consolidations of good neighbourhood ties, further improvement of Turkmenistan as peace making centre that has big importance in support of peace and stability in the region.
In particular, the priority directions of economic policy with focus on innovative component and private sector, investments to geopolitical projects were reviewed, condition and tendencies of world situation were analysed.
The president of Turkmenistan highlighted the great importance of enhancement of production outputs of domestic industry including chemical and textile branches as well as turning our country into largest transport and transit hub. In this relation, the important role is given to transport and communication branch and formation of developed logistics network, which is summoned to revive the Great Silk Road in new quality, - the Leader of the Nation said, having addressed relative leaders with instructions on this matter.
