"Yashlyk" Children's Health Center of Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan is located in the picturesque village Gokdere where children from all over the country spent their summer holidays. Within a few weeks of each shift, girls and boys creatively spend their leisure time for their health benefits, have fun. They develop their talents in hobby clubs, participate in various competitions, play sports, swim and sunbathe.
As the teacher of Children's Health Center Tyazegul Atdayeva notes, -“Center administration creates all conditions for good rest and harmonious development of children”. Teachers and scholars, museum workers come to visit children with the aim to conduct informative lectures on various areas of knowledge. Theatrical team familiarizes children with children's guest performances prepared specially for the summer holidays. Frequent visitors to the Center in Gokdere are circus performers. It is organized study to those sightseeing of the Turkmen capital.

The day of we visited the Center, the circus group “Shovhun” the participants of which are students and teachers of the State Institute of Culture arrived. Kids are happily applause to the trained monkeys called Eziz and Nyazli. They appeared in the circus group five years ago, the same as Ara Parrot named after Geokgush presenting several tricks. Kids were excited on performances display of four legs artists, and the performances of clowns and fakirs. The performances of circus groups were met to loud applause by excited smiles of kids.
Then, specialists of Nature Protection Union Nurdjahan Karpayeva and Bayram Amandurdiyev and Nature Conservation Management Officer of Akhal region of State Committee for Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan Environment and Land Resources - Mekan Annadurdiyev held ecological excursions for children. They showed slides with colorful views of the unique parts of the Turkmen nature, accompanied by stories about how wonderful and unique desert, mountains, sea, oases can be.
Many children first became acquainted with the diversity of animal and plant lives, and unique landscapes of reddish hills of Koytendag, picturesque mountains of Syunt-Hasardaga, high dunes of the Karakum desert. Kids expressed great interest to mysterious inhabitants. Environmentalists brought dialogue the most inquisitive nature experts who took part in the quiz.
Upon completion, the environmental training continued in the framework of the tour of the scenic area of children's center. Aside useful knowledge about nature and its inhabitants, ecologists answer questions about the habits of birds, sea creatures, Karakum desert inhabitants. There was also a discussion about the environmental culture, danger of setting fire, prevention measures when meet dangerous insects and reptiles, the importance of personal hygiene, cleanliness of the camp and the surrounding areas.
