President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is currently on vacation, reviewed the course of preparation enveloped in Ashgabat for glorious 25th anniversary of independence of the Motherland.
During the flight on helicopter and automobile tour, the Head of the State stressed the attention on works and measures undertaken for improvement of urban road and transport infrastructure.
Today, Turkmen capital turned into true “pearl” of Asian region, what became sincere proud of Ashgabat citizens and all Turkmen people. Every year, its grand architectural ensemble is replenished with new wonderful social and cultural, administrative and other facilities. Beautified districts with comfortable high-rise living accommodation buildings, built in the main city of the country where thousands of families – workers of different branches and spheres, gave house-warming party, are pleasant to the eye.
White-marble buildings grew up in the southern part of Ashgabat where modern business and cultural centre is being dynamically formed up. Each of the high-rise buildings here, including offices of branch ministries and departments, are distinguished by their peculiar architectural and engineering and technical design. Monumentality of these buildings and modern technologies used during the construction, reflect huge creative potential of our country that entered the way of innovative development.
Building up of new living estates, where all necessary social and living infrastructure is being created, is continued under scheduled stage of construction. It is remarkable that considerable role in implementation of these projects is given to the Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs, who are actively involved in realization of grandiose reformation programmes enveloped in the country.
Visual evidence to this is new district of Ashgabat, grown along the southern section of Oguzkhan Street, with high-rise accommodations, administrative buildings and social and cultural facilities that was opened in the autumn of the last year. This urban estate with total area of 970 thousand square metres, built during 13th phase of the capital development, includes more than 30 facilities.
Section of automobile road, stretched for more two and half kilometres between Bitarap Turkmenistan and Garashsyzlyk Avenues, provided with top modern systems of traffic control and street lightening, information boards with use of energy saving technologies was put into exploitation there. Modern design bus stops are made along the road.
There are offices and administration buildings on one side of renewed Oguzkhan Street and high-rise accommodation houses, built according to orders of different ministries and departments of the country, on another side. As many other living estates of the capital, this one includes educational and pre-school facilities – two secondary schools for 600 pupils and two kindergartens for 160 children each, as well as House of health, equipped with advanced medical hardware. Capital Public Service House “Ovadan” have been transferred there as well.
Besides, personnel of the Main Office of Air traffic of the State National Service “Turkmenhovayollary”, National Committee for Hydrometeorology under the Cabinet of Ministers, State Committee for Tourism and others moved to new modern offices.
Trade and entertainment centre “Bagtyyarlyk”, which accommodates specialized shops with wide variety of food and industrial goods, cosy cafeteria, children playground with game machines and amusements as well as cinema for demonstrations of movies in different formats, was built by the order of the Ministry of Trade and Economic Affairs.
Construction of complex of high-rise living buildings of high comfort, social, cultural and infrastructural facilities is also stipulated by the 14th phase of city development. Micro district Parahat – 7 is one of the largest construction sites. Along with high-rise accommodation buildings, several schools and kindergartens, House of Health and other social facilities will be build there. Besides, the plans for development of living sector are being realized in other districts of the city.
Large living estate, meeting all modern standards and high requirements of the epoch of power and happiness, is under construction under the 15th phase of Ashgabat development along Seydi and Mollanepes Streets. The project plans the construction of eighteen 12-store accommodation buildings, mostly 72- as well as 48-appartment buildings. Besides the sky-scrappers, sixteen 3- and 4- store accommodation buildings, 208 double store cottages and 11 shops will be constructed. Land plot in the southern part of the capital adjoined to multi-functional stadium “Ashgabat” is allocated for low-raising buildings’ construction.
The project of the 15th phase of development of the capital also include construction of other facilities of social sphere, including kindergarten for 160 children and comprehensive school for 600 pupils. More than 13.6 kilometres of roads are planned to be laid in the district.
Along with this, works for complete modernization and further development of transport and communication, engineering and technical and related infrastructure, where some of modern roads, pedestrian walkways, underground and flyover passages, bus stops for passenger transport, automobile intersections and bridges have been already put into exploitation and continued to be built, are going on with high pace.
It cannot help saying that Ashgabat is preparing intensively and enthusiastically to forthcoming V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2017, which contests will be held on the rings of the Olympic village being built in the capital. All conditions for conduct of large competitions and tournaments of regional and international level are stipulated in this grandiose complex of sport facilities. Along with this, it is summoned to become an all-purpose training base for Turkmen athletes and national Olympic team, preparation of qualified sportsmen and national teams in different sports.
Works for construction and beautification of the Olympic village are carried out at high pace. Part of the facilities has been already completed and put into exploitation. There are excellent “Sport” and “Olympia” hotel complexes opened in the last year. By the way, this all-purpose sport complex has already become the place for large sport events - international test competitions. It hosted Asian Sambo Championship in May of this year and Asian Turkmen Gyoresh and Belt Wrestling Championship in June.
Ecological aspect, undoubtedly, is important component of complex concept of Ashgabat development. Along with construction of new facilities and reconstruction of existing buildings, work for creation and beautification of green and park zones is carried out. Paying special attention to ecological wellbeing of the country and its main city, Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invariably highlights the importance of realization of undertaken tree and shrub planting programmes, which play considerable role in formation of maximum comfort social and aesthetic environment for the population. Blooming and comfort parks and public gardens of Ashgabat, while being favourite places of rest of the citizens, are finely blended to panorama of the capital and picturesque city landscape.
In the current year, marked by the 25th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan and declared as the Year of honour of Heritage and transformation of the Motherland, range of important new sites including large public health facilities has already adorned rapidly changing appearance of Ashgabat.
