Having presented his credentials to the Head of the State, the diplomat conveyed cordial greetings of President Francois Hollande addressing best wishes to all Turkmen people. Adherence of French side to traditionally friendly relations with Turkmenistan that pursues constructive foreign policy aimed at efficient international cooperation, which meets common interests, was emphasized.
Having returned warm greetings to the President of Republic of France, the leader of the Nation congratulated Mr. Francois Delahousse with the appointment on responsible diplomatic position and wished successes in consolidation of years-old fruitful cooperation between two countries. The Head of the State mentioned that Turkmenistan, consecutively realizing foreign policy course based on the principle of positive neutrality, peace loving and broad international partnership, also pays great attention to development of relations with France both in bilateral and multilateral format, including under the dialog with European Union, which was filled with new content for the last few years.
In continuation of the meeting, interested exchange of opinions on condition and perspectives of Turkmen – French relations having multi aspect potential have been conducted. Having highlighted high level of interstate dialog, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Ambassador mentioned the presence of favourable opportunities for further consolidations and diversification of mutually beneficial bilateral partnership, in particular, in such priority direction as trade and economic sphere.
In this aspect, established productive business contacts between Turkmenistan and largest French companies, specialized in different branches, were called as visual example of successful cooperation. There is well-known «Thales Alenia Space» company among them that build first national «TürkmenÄlem 52°E» communication satellite by the order of our country, which was launched in April of the last year. Intention of French business circles to expand their presence on dynamically developing Turkmen market, where favourable investement market is established, was mentioned.
Strategy of progressive social and economic transformations and reforms and large-scale infrastructural projects undertaken in Turkmenistan, course for active integration into modern system of the world economic system, all of these stipulate good opportunities for efficient cooperation on mutually beneficial and long-term basis. Along with trade and economic sector, there are fuel and energy complex, transport, advanced high technologies, telecommunication sphere, tourism and other in the row of actual directions of partnership.
Having noted that humanitarian and cultural cooperation is integral part of Turkmen – French relations, the Head of the State and the French diplomat declared for intensification of fruitful contacts in science, educational and cultural directions which are important factors of consolidation of friendship and mutual understanding relations between two countries and peoples.
