President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia in Turkmenistan Mr. Roseli bin Abdul.
Having expressed his gratitude for warm welcome and hospitality, the diplomat presented the Head of the State with his credentials and, taking opportunity, conveyed warm greetings from the King of Malaysia, Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah and Prime-minister Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, who addressed sincere wished of happiness and prosperity to friendly Turkmen people.
Having thanked the Ambassador for the warm words, the Leader of the Nation conveyed the words of best wishes to the leaders of friendly country and highlighted that one of the priority directions of foreign policy course of neutral Turkmenistan is consolidation of fruitful relations with the South-East Asia and Asian Pacific countries including Malaysia, which is one of the dynamically developing country in the world.
Having congratulated the diplomat with appointment on the responsible position, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished him successes in important work, which is summoned to give new dynamics to years-old interstate cooperation that is being successfully built on both bilateral and multilateral base under competent international organizations.
During the meeting, substantive exchange of views on all spectrum of Turkmen – Malaysian relations, which, owing to the efforts of both sides, entered new level recently, took place. Stating with delight mutual willingness for further diversification of trade and economic and cuktural and humanitarian relations, the Head of the State and the Malaysian diplomat emphasized the importance of regular bilateral meetings in different formats, which serve to intensification of traditional cooperation and active search of new perspective directions.
In this relation, opportunities of expansion of partnership in fuel and energy complex, economic, business, tourism, educational as well as in cultural and humanitarian spheres, which would serve to closer relations of the peoples of both friendly countries.
Mentioning high level of established cooperation, the Turkmen Leader highlighted that Turkmenistan and Malaysia today are united not only by the community of social and economic targets but by the similarity of approaches to solution of issues of the global agenda, their aim at practical solution of actual problems of the mankind including the issues of global security and sustainable development.
Having thanked for one more time for spared time and sharing of views on broad range of bilateral cooperation, Mr. Rosel bin Abdul assured President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov that he would make all efforts for development of goodwill interstate relations established for all these years and multisided constructive dialog built with account of interests of both countries and their desire for improvement of mutually beneficial partnership.
