Today, under comprehensive reforms realized in the country, we pay special attention to educational sphere, considering it as a foundation for future progress of the sovietyy and the state. The main target of our educational policy is a provision of general availability of education, establishment of optimal conditions for every citizen of the country to be able to realize their skills and talents.
Human values and experiences of developed countries of the world have to be considered in educational activity. At the same time, educational system have to develop harmonically based on spiritual and cultural traditions and principles of our people.
Our sovereign motherland creates broad opportunities for education of chosen profession. Number of secondary professional and high educational institutions as well as number of students are increased by every year. New educational specialities are being opened at high schools with accordance to priorities of economic development. The youth also receives education on chosen specialities in foreign educational institutions.
There is free state education in our country. Pupils, students and teachers are provided with necessary teaching technical equipment, methodological literature and textbooks. New modern schools, kindergartens and recreational centres are being built; facilities and equipment base of educational and teaching facilities is being steadily improved. Putting into operation of Oguzkhan Engineering and Technical University and number of new secondary schools and kindergartens in new educational year serves as a bright example of the Government support in this direction.
This support have borne fruit. Young generation, devoted to the Motherland and people, adherent to high moral principles of ancestors and national traditions, strive for knowledge and mastering of profession is being formed up.
Number of Turkmen students and pupils, awarded with prizes at international Olympics and sport competitions is growing for the last years. We are very proud of our talented and erudite youth, which honourably represents its country and people.
Special respect is being rendered to teachers in our country. All conditions for their fruitful activity, provision of modern education and upbringing to the youth are being created as selfless, honest and creative work of the teachers is a source of our successes and achievements. Expressing strong confidence that you will develop native educational sphere in accordance with world practices and national traditions, carry out efficient work for training of highly professional personnel for different branches of economy”.
