The President of Turkmenistan received Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Motome Takisawa, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Having expressed deep gratitude for spared time for the meeting, the guest conveyed the greetings of Emperor of Japan Akihito and Prime-minister Shinzō Abe, who addressed the Leader of the Nation and all Turkmen people sincere wishes of happiness, wellbeing and successes in achievement of high targets on chosen creative way.

Having warmly welcomed the deputy of the head of foreign policy agency of friendly country, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed return best wishes to all leaders of Japan, having confirmed the willingness of Turkmenistan to continue comprehensively activating interstate relations, which are being successfully developed in bilateral and multilateral formats and to bring them to new quality level.

Having noted with delight rapid dynamic of development of mutually beneficial partnership in the last years, the Head of the State and his guest shared the views on broad spectrum of Turkmen – Japan cooperation, where proximity and coincidence of opinions on range of subject of international politics serve for consolidation of it.

Motome Takisawa highlighted that the Country of the Rising Sun highly esteem and fully supports the peace loving foreign policy undertaken by Turkmenistan and important initiatives proposed by Turkmen Leader and aimed at consolidation of peace, stability and global security.

It was mentioned that large-scale transformation programmes and progressive reforms, implemented today in Turkmenistan, allows not only keeping up high rates of economic growth but make country more attractive for foreign investors as well. In this relation, great attention during the meeting was paid to the subject of trade and economic and cultural, humanitarian cooperation that currently is a foundation of fruitful interstate dialog.

In particular, opportunities of further expansion of Turkmen – Japan relations in different spheres including fuel and energy, transport and communication sectors, public health, sport and tourism were touched during the conversation.

Cooperation of both countries in science and education sphere, training of personnel, which is actual with account of Turkmenistan strategy of innovative development and radical modernization of the country, became special subject of the discussion.

Mentioning exclusively rich potential and opening broad perspectives for fruitful joint work, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke for further activation of contacts between competent scientific and educational centres of Japan and high educational institutions of our country, what serve directly to consolidation of friendship relations and mutual understanding of people of both countries.

Having thanked the Head of the State for invitation to participate in the opening ceremony of Oguzkhan Engineering and Technical University in Ashgabat, Motome Takisawa also noted the interest of the government of his country to intensification of cooperation with Turkmenistan in training of highly professional specialists. Far-seeing policy undertaken by the Turkmen Leader including in such priority directions as education and science, create reliable base for further progressive development of the state and society, - the guest said.

At bidding goodbye, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Motome Takisawa expressed mutual confidence that achieved constructive dialog would serve to further activation of mutually beneficial Turkmen – Japan partnership, which has large perspectives with account of existing potential.
