Issues of interstate relations accounting opening perspectives for expansion and intensification of Turkmen – Luxembourg dialog became the main subject of the meeting. Having stated with delight that the partnership is being successfully developed both in bilateral and multilateral formats under international organizations including the United Nations Organization and the EU, the guest highly esteemed peace making initiatives of Turkmenistan, which are aimed at development of value approaches to the issues of the modern world.
Having noted huge potential of cooperation in trade and economic spheres, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Jean Asselborn shared the views on opportunities of cooperation in transport sector, industrial sphere, and agriculture as well as in banking field.
In this relation, it was highlighted that owing to its geographical position, Turkmenistan possess huge transit potential and is able to take considerable part of international cargo traffics. The Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on air traffic will enhance intensive integration of our country to modern world economic system and activation of trade relations with foreign partners.
It worth mentioning that from June of 2015, according to relative agreement on air traffic between Turkmenistan and Luxembourg, “Cargolux” air company made eught flights a week from Luxembourg to Turkmenbashy and from June 1, 2016 the number of flights increased to 10. Recently, the Turkmen capital was also included into flight plan of cargo traffic of this air company.

It was highlighted that consolidation of the relations in humanitarian field is one of the key factors promoting closer relations of the peoples of two countries, strengthening of friendship ties in particular for the account of exchange of practices, joint events including conferences and exhibitions.
