Provision of new Code of Civil Procedure of Turkmenistan were reviewed during training seminar

Training for judges and lawyers on actual subjects of law enforcement practices of the new Code of Civil Procedure of Turkmenistan (CCP) was held in Avaza. The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Supreme Court of Turkmenistan under support of the regional programme of German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) “Promotion of the Rule of Law in Central Asia” in relation with entry into force of the Code of Civil Procedure of Turkmenistan from July 1, 2016.

Representatives of Balkan Velayat Court, judges of etrap and city courts as well as representatives of Chamber of Lawyers were invited to the seminar. The training was conducted by deputies of National Parliament of Turkmenistan, members of the working group for the development of the Code of Civil Procedure and international experts giving consultations during development of the CPP, in particular, Head of the GIZ regional programme, administrative law Judge Joerg Pudelka (Berlin) and civil law Judge Heinrich Schnitger. Review of principle novation of the CPP in the context of civil legal procedure in democratic state under rule of law was conducted during the seminar.

Special sessions was dedicated to such actual aspects of new legislation as public legal disputes under new CPP, preparation of court case, legality and validity of decisions by judges as important component of democratic and lawful judicial process, collection of evidences and to other questions. Special attention was paid to important aspects of advocate’s practice.

The organizers mentioned that conduct of the training is actual in the context of the course taken by the President of Turkmenistan toward establishment of democratic lawful state and consolidation of rule of law.

Similar training seminars will be organized in other regions as well.
