The Head of the State mentioned in his message: “Owing to dynamically developing domestic economy, necessary conditions for development of energy industry were created along with all other branches of national economy.
By stable development of energy branch, we systematically increase export of electric energy, which has high demand in world markets. For the short period, large and modern power station and new power lines were built, owing to which the potential of energy branch is being more increased. This allows to provide in full volume the consumers of our country with energy as well as to increase volumes of Turkmen electric energy supplies abroad. High-voltage power line, laid from Mary State Power Plant via Atamurat to Afghanistan border improved the quality of supplies of energy exported to neighbouring country. 220 kV power line, built between Yoloten and Tahta – Bazar, allowed increasing twice the volumes of energy supplies to Afghanistan on Imamnazar – Andhoy direction.
In accordance with “Concept of Development of Electric Energy Branch in Turkmenistan for 2013 – 2030”, number of production facilities of energy branch of our country will be supplemented by gas turbine power stations of different production capacity, which will be built in the near future in the regions. Facilities and equipment base of the industry will be considerably improved with putting into exploitation of modern high technology gas turbine power stations.
Currently, large-scale projects, aimed at further modernization of existing and construction of new gas turbine power stations, are being realized in our State; new power lines and distribution systems are being erected.
Steadily realizing large projects of international importance in energy industry, Turkmenistan makes considerable contribution to development of international cooperation in this field. Provision of regular and reliable supplies of energy to foreign consumers is one of our main targets.
I am confident that current exhibition and scientific conference will give broad opportunities for sharing the information about present condition of energy industry of Turkmenistan, directions and perspectives of its development, presentation of new projects, demonstration of new achievements in this sphere, discussion of actual subjects of efficient use of energy-saving technologies, renewable sources of energy, definition of directions of mutually beneficial cooperation of domestic enterprises and numerous foreign companies”.
