President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the solemn ceremony of conferring the artists with honorable titles of Turkmenistan, winners of the contest «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry» among the literary figures of culture and art, young singers and gifted children to whom is conferred the prize of President of Turkmenistan.
Having proceeded to the podium and warmly greeted the gathered, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated everyone on the upcoming 25th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan, as well as artists - with the conferring honorary degrees and prestigious awards to the winners of the competition «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry».
As stated the leader of the nation, the country has successfully implemented programs aimed at comprehensive development of the country, increasing the welfare of our people. It is steadily raising international prestige of neutral Turkmenistan, is positioned in the international community as a region of peace, mutually beneficial cooperation, friendship and brotherhood. In this context, the high mission of art and culture, all artists’ workers are praised and wide popularization of grandiose achievements, aimed at ensuring peaceful, prosperous, and happy life of our brave people, steady progress of our sovereign state- said the President of Turkmenistan.
Our state has always paid special attention to the development of culture. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of the done work on exposing these spheres to a new level, bringing up in accordance with national traditions having had high moral, erudite, hard-working and loving the Homeland by younger generation.
It has become a good tradition in Turkmenistan and other countries of mutual Days of Culture. Such festivals help to bring peoples closer together and strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood, mutual enrichment of cultures, boosting international ties in this direction.
Along with the development of the domestic sphere of culture it is taken effective steps to further improvement of the social conditions of its workers. A striking example of it is the building Ashgabat Creative Town with all necessary conditions for fruitful creative process for comfortable rest of culture figures and artists.

The program of the concert also included performances by the Presidential Orchestra of Belarus conducted by V.Babarikin, a winner of contest «Türkmeniň Altyn Aasyry». Well-known far beyond the borders of their country virtuoso orchestra performed a medley from the work of the famous Turkmen composers, included in its performances and Belarusian music.
The Presidential car headed to Turkmenbashi International Airport. Warmly saying good bye to participants of the meeting, the head of the state departed from the event.
Before flying to Ashgabat, the leader of the nation held a working meeting with representatives of the executives of the country on issues related to solemn preparation of the meeting of the 25th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan and mass celebrations dedicated to significant historical date.
