Infrastructure of the northern part of Ashgabat is supplemented by new road intersection located at the cross of Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue and Gurbansoltan-Edge Street and by reconstructed part of A. Niyazov Avenue that leadsto Oguzkhan Complex. New technologies with use of especially strong materials were used for the construction.
Investing a lot of funds into formation of this system, Turkmenistan establishes solid base for further development of national economy, improving its attractiveness for investments, and promoting accumulation of mutually beneficial international partnership, what is dictated by the geographical location of the country.
From this point of view, the opening of the new intersection and reconstruction of modern avenue in Ashgabat are the other step in this direction
Culmination of putting into exploitation of the new automobile intersection came and under storm of applause, most honourable members of Turkmen society, the elders cut symbolical ribbon.
Representatives of the capital hyakimlik and related departments, non-governmental organizations, youth and kids, all the participants of the event including horse riders on Ahalteke horses and wedding motorcades, which are indispensable attribute of all celebrations, walked along decorated Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue. After, all who wished, took places in the “caravan” of vehicles and buses. It is remarkable that there were young Turkmenistan people among the passengers.
The putting into operation of the new facility pursues several goals. It is given with important link of the dynamically developing Ashgabat as it will allow to reach the centre of the city from the International Airport without any traffic jams. The special accent was made at esthetical side of it.
The length of the tunnel is 790 metres, each bridge is 9 metres in width and 66omtres long. The height of the bridges is more than 30 metres, what allows large size vehicles and special machineries to drive through.
Advanced engineering technologies were used during the construction of the transportation intersection. High loading capacity characteristics, climate and geological conditions of our country were taken into account during the construction. Seismic stability was also provided.
Opening of another part of A. Niyazov Avenue with the length of 980 and the width of 15 metres in each directions has a great importance in the context of formation of transport and communication infrastructure, which meets modern demands and is one of the key components of successfully social and economic development of the country.
All necessary engineering communications including drainages, drip irrigation for planted trees, electrical supplies of auxiliary traffic aids, automated traffic control and lighting are laid along the road.
Improved asphalt and concrete layer will provide high level of reliability of the road and its sustainability to wear and formation of holes as well as will improve traffic safety for the account of high coefficient of tracking and low level of noises and reflections.
