President of Turkmenistan is awarded with anniversary medal «Türkmenistanyň Garaşsyzlygynyň 25 ýyllygyna». (25 years of the Independence of Turkmenistan). Deputies of Mejlis, the National Parliament adopted the decision on award of the Head of the State.
Before this, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made policy speech during the session of the Council of the Elders and signed the Constitutional Law of Turkmenistan on adoption of new edition of the Constitution of Turkmenistan.
The draft of new edition of the Constitution of Turkmenistan includes 28 new articles where 24 new articles and 4 in new edition, 107 articles, which were revised and amended and one new chapter.
The provisions on independence, positive neutrality, legislative, social and democratic character of our state as well as other fundamental provisions of the Constitution of Turkmenistan were remained unchanged.
The Constitution reflects such most important principles of our foreign policy as non-interference into other countries internal affairs, non-use of force, non-alignment to military alliances, development of peaceful and friendly relations with the countries of the region and the whole planet as well as provisions on priority of universal standards of international law.
