It brought together the Mufti of Turkmenistan, the imams of the regions and Ashgabat city, the elders, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Elders, Mejlis Chairman, members of the government, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, public organizations, governors of regions and the capital, the ambassadors of Turkmenistan abroad, heads of diplomatic missions, accredited in our country, the participants of the national forum.
Before the meal, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed a brief speech to all those gathered.
Warmly welcoming the participants, the leader of nation emphasized that following the age-old traditions of our ancestors, these days on the occasion of Kurban Bayramy in all mosques of the country it is read the festive namaz and held sadaqah, during of which prayers are praying for the prosperity of our Motherland, the unity and welfare of the Turkmen people. Today, as the head of the state held an important historical event. Thus, at the national forum a new revision of the Constitution are adopted, which incorporates the fundamental human values, which are interfaced with the national peculiarities, traditions of the Turkmen people and its political and social experience, said the leader of the nation.
This event is of paramount importance for the future of our Motherland, happy and prosperous life, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
We attach particular importance to the preservation and development of national traditions, according of which each year we celebrate this holiday at the national level, said the leader of the nation.
