Two more bronze medals appeared in the treasury of the Turkmenistan team at the ongoing Asian wrestling championship among cadets under 17 and youth under 23 in Bishkek. On the final competitive day of freestyle cadet wrestlers, bronze in the weight category up to 45 kg, in which 8 athletes competed, was won by Azymberdi Ashirgulyev.

On the way to this success, he beat Keitatsu Shigemitsu (Japan) in the quarterfinals - 11:9. Then losing in the semifinals to Amirmohammad Saleh Nawazi (Iran) - 0:7, Azymberdi Ashirgulyev in the fight for 3rd place convincingly defeated Muntugs Amgalan (Mongolia) - 12:1 and climbed to the third step of the podium.

Ningappa Genannavar from India became the Asian champion in this weight category, defeating Iran's Amirmohammad Saleh Nawazi in the final - 10:7. The second bronze medal was awarded to Nurassyl Assambek from Kazakhstan, who was stronger than Bekhruz Kalandarov (Uzbekistan) in the fight for 3rd place.

Another bronze medal in the team of Turkmenistan went to Parahat Ataev after the disqualification of the Kazakh wrestler Askhab Khadzhiev in the final and the revision of the results in the weight category up to 80 kg. Parvinder Singh (India) became the champion in this weight. The silver medalist is Muhammadamin Abduloev (Tajikistan), and the bronze medalists are Abbosjon Yuldoshev (Uzbekistan) and Parahat Ataev (Turkmenistan).

Thus, according to the results of the Asian cadet championship, the Turkmen wrestlers won 4 medals: 1 gold and 3 bronze. Recall that earlier Alp Arslan Begendzhov (weight category up to 65 kg) won the highest standard award in freestyle wrestling, and Kakabai Kakabaev (up to 65 kg) won bronze in Greco-Roman wrestling.

The next set of medals at the Asian Championship in the capital of Kyrgyzstan will be played by wrestlers of an older age - up to 23 years old. In this age category, Turkmenistan will be represented by 13 athletes: 7 in Greco-Roman wrestling and 6 in freestyle.
