Gems of cultural heritage of the nation, brought to our compatriots recently, are the bright evidence of it.
Turkmen people left indelible trace in the history. The treasury of national cultural heritage of our ancestors includes wonderful traditions of first printed texts. In the early period, before the invention of paper, they made signs and rock paintings in caves. This is indicated by the artefacts discovered during archaeological excavations at the territory of our country. Such writings were discovered in Margush, Ancient Nissa and many other places of our country. All of these are visual evidence of eternal specially respected treatment of the Turkmens to the word, the book.
The book, absorbed spiritual values of the humanity, is the mirror of life and reflection of the history, guide to the future. The influence of printing and book on formation of conscious attitude to life, scientifically based development of economy, science, education, all spheres of national economy is obvious. In this context, domestic publishing and printing branch experience the period of steadfast growth.
Bright evidence of achieved successes in this sphere is putting into exploitation of complex of the press House of the Turkmen State Publishing Service in 2015 and production printed by this enterprise. We make considerable investments to development of this branch, paying special attention to implementation of advanced technologies into production and preparation of competent domestic specialists. All conditions for work of staff are established in the complex.
For training of national staff of this profile, we founded professional publishing and printing college of the Turkmen State Publishing Service in 2015.
Important target of personnel of publishing and printing branch is a preparation and publishing of books and other printing productions promoting cultural education of people, development of the state and society.
In close collaboration with art intellectuals and specialists of different spheres like science, education, public health, culture, agriculture, industry, transport, communication and others, they have to produce brightly decorated, high quality, deeply substantial works and other printing issues and completely meet the consumer demand.
XI International Book Fair and Scientific Conference “Book, the way to cooperation and progress” are summoned to popularize domestic printing productions, enhance exchange of experience with foreign specialists. Broad opportunities for close familiarization of foreign guests with literature and other printing items produced in the country, works of poets and authors, for participation in presentations of new books and share of practices would be created during the forum”.
