President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made working trip around the capital having acquainted with works undertaken there and paid special attention to realization of infrastructural projects for modernization of energy supply of the main city of the country.
In the morning, the Head of the State went to the southern part of Ashgabat where new administration, business and cultural centre grows rapidly. There, the President of Turkmenistan familiarized with measures undertaken for beautification of this part of the city and course of works at large transformer substation “Dagly” with 220/110/35/10 kV voltage, which was built in Kopetdag etrap and currently on of the important facilities of the single system of energy supply of the capital.
At new transformer substation “Dagly”, the Head of the State was met by Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Minister, Executive Secretary of the Office of the President of Turkmenistan and the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Durdyliyev, Hyakim of Ashgabat M. Abilov, Minister of Energy D. Rejepov, Chairman of the State Committee for Environment Protection and Land Resources M. Annabayev, Minister of Internal Affairs I. Mulikov, General Prosecutor A. Halliyev at new transformer substation “Dagly”.
While going to new transformer substation, which construction entered final stage, the Head of the State inspected torrent diversion channel, which was laid there and meant to protect the city from possible mud streams from the mountains during heavy rains, and requested to continue proper work in this direction.
At the territory of the substation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was presented with projects for improvement of energy supply of Ashgabat as well as layouts of locations of power stations and systems of electrical lines. Vice-premier Sh. Dudryliyev and Minister of Energy D. Rejepov reported on fulfilled work.
Having listened to the reports and familiarized with the projects, the Head of the State gave relative instructions, in particular to the Vice-premier and the Minister of Energy, for strict control of construction of facilities and putting of it into exploitation in set timelines, to the Hyakim of Ashgabat – for formation of green zones around new energy facilities, to the Minister of Internal Affairs – for provision of fire safety and to the General Prosecutor for proper control of course of work. The President of Turkmenistan also highlighted the importance of actual measures for training of highly qualified professional personnel for energy branch.
Having continued the inspection of facilities of new substation, the Leader of the Nation expressed keen interest in technical specifications and provision of this energy facility, which construction was performed in two phases.
Thus, the “Dagly – 110 kV” substation was built during the first phase in accordance to the signed Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan for supply and commissioning of electrical energy equipment under construction of engineering communication systems for the facilities and buildings planned for construction along the capital Archabyl avenue. Energy for large facilities located in the southern part of the capital is supplied by distribution equipment installed there.
Under the second phase, the “Dagly – 220 kV” was built according to the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan. Putting of it into exploitation will allow to provide reliable energy supply in this part of the city where so called Ashgabat – City is growing rapidly as well as will give opportunity to increase energy supply accounting growing demands.
Equipment of famous German company “Siemens” as well as other foreign manufacturers specialized in this sphere is installed at “Dagly” transformer substation. It is one of five analogue facilities – “Gurtly”, “Abadan”, “Olymp” and “Ashgabat”, which are provided with top modern technologies.
During the inspection of the substation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of single energy supply system in Ashgabat taking to account growing demands in energy of the capital, which dynamically grows and expands. Continuing the review of the substation, the Head of the State visited Operational Control Room and familiarized with equipment supplied by “General Electrics” to Turkmenistan.
The Leader of the Nation highlighted the necessity of uninterrupted power supply of Ashgabat as well as velayats of the country. The Head of the State also gave orders to the relative heads to hold under strict control efficient use of colossal potential of this sphere, which is summoned to promote further consolidation of economic power of the state and increase of level and quality of life of the population.
The president of Turkmenistan also gave instructions related to realization of project of fundamental modernization of energy system of Ashgabat as an integral part of single system of power supply of the country, provision of high quality construction of infrastructural facilities, provision of advanced equipment and timely putting into operation. At the same time, the Head of the State noted the importance of works undertaken in this sphere in the context of steadfast implementation of the Concept of development of the capital as well as preparation to such important events as Asian Games – 2017.
Having completed the inspection of the situation at construction site, leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for one more time stressed attention of the participating leaders at the necessity of care treatment of the environment during realization of different projects. It worth mentioning that existing energy facilities and those under construction meet high environmental standards. Their location is also being chosen from this point of view and to minimize the negative impact on the environment.
The Head of the State defined active implementation of newest energy saving, environmental free technologies and highly efficient advanced equipment meeting these criteria as one of the main targets of the domestic energy complex during realization of industrial projects. Thus, the plans for fundamental modernization of national energy system are directly associated with the strategy of “green development” set by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as one of the key mechanism of sustainable social and economic progress of Turkmenistan.
