Australian Ambassador accredited to Turkmenistan

On the instructions of the President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A.Nurberdiyeva accepted the credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia in Turkmenistan Peter Martin Tesch.

On behalf of the Head of State, the head of the National Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to the high post, wishing him every success in strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between two countries.

Thanking for the good wishes, Peter Martin Tesch assured that as the representative of his country in Turkmenistan would actively contribute to strengthening interstate dialogue, the interests of two friendly peoples.

During the talks, the diplomat was informed about the main directions of national public policy, one of the most important aspects of the development of broad international cooperation. Guest was also acquainted with existing in our country of the socio-economic and democratic transformations led by initiative of the leader of the nation, which was the primary objective the well-being of the people, economic growth of Turkmenistan.

Talking about the existing potential of the bilateral partnership, there was the prospect of the development of interstate relations in the field of trade and economy, agriculture, science and education, as well as cultural dialogue contributing to strengthen ties of friendship and mutual understanding of the two nations.

One of the topics of the meeting was the work of the National Parliament on modernization of the legislative and legal base in the context of large-scale reforms. It is noted that the importance of expanding inter-parliamentary ties, cooperation between the two countries are the framework of the structural units of the United Nations.

In conclusion, Australian diplomat expressed confidence that the solid potential, cooperation between Turkmenistan and Australia, all the prerequisites to develop into a full-scale respond to current trends and the mutual interests of the partnership.
