The ninth volume of selected works by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov entitled “Towards New Heights of Progress” presents the keynote speeches, research papers, interviews, welcome statements and addresses delivered by the leader of Turkmenistan in 2015 in chronological order. As is known, the last year was marked with important events and anniversaries, including the 20th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, in honour of which the year of 2015 was announced as the Year of Neutrality and Peace, the 20th anniversary of the Health state Programme, Mary was announced as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2015, the first national communication satellite was launched into outer space in the first half of 2015, etc.
The book begins with the brief analytical review entitled “High spirit and creative potential of the new epoch”, which objectively interprets, summarizes and evaluates the practices of the socio-political and socio-economic development in 2015. The new book provides the in-depth analysis of the implementation of the national, sectoral and regional programmes aimed at bringing the country up to the level of successful countries in the world, guaranteeing the well-being and improvement of the social conditions of life for the people.
The introduction article comprehensively and deeply highlights the issues of the state-building, socio-political, spiritual and cultural life of society, market reforming of the national economy and social development, the foreign policy and international relations of the country.
The works presented in a chronological order set out the basic requirements of the President of Turkmenistan to the officials as well as the tasks set to them on the improvement of the political system of society and democratization of all aspects of the state.
