42 medals, of which 19 gold, 9 silver and 14 bronze, were won by Turkmen athletes on the second day of the 12th World Championship of the Shotokan Karate, which takes place in Pardubice (Czech Republic).

As the correspondent of “GA” was informed in the Karatedo Federation of Turkmenistan, out of 19 awards of the highest standard, three were obtained in the discipline of kata (demonstration of exercises - a fight with an invisible enemy), and 16 - in combat sparring of different age categories (from 12-13 years old to 16-17 years old), in which the winners were determined depending on the type of fight with a certain difference in points.

In the discipline of kata, Allanur Yalkabov, a 8th grade student of the 50th secondary school of Ashgabat, rose to the highest step of the podium, showing the best demonstration of exercises among teenagers aged 12-13 from Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Belgium.

In addition, Allanur Yalkabov won another gold in the team kata among boys aged 14-15, in which representatives of the Czech Republic contested the highest standard award. This success, together with him as part of the team, was achieved by the 9th grader of the 55th secondary school of Ashgabat Davut Sariyev and the 8th grade student of the 8th secondary school of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat Perhat Atamyradov.

Rasul Atajanov, a 11th grade student of the 52nd Ashgabat secondary school, Islam Annaorazov, a 10th grader of the 1st secondary school of the Gokdepe etrap of Ahal velayat, and a 10th grade student of the 7th secondary school, received gold medals in the team kata among boys aged 16-17 Gorogly etrap, Dashoguz velayat Shamyrat Myradov. Their exercise demonstration was better than that of their peers from the two Romanian teams.

In combat sparring, where the fight among boys under 18 lasts 2 minutes, the winners were determined in the disciplines of Shobu Ippon Kumite (with a difference of up to 2 points), Shobu Sanbon Kumite (with a difference of up to 6 points) and VKF Kumite (with a difference of up to 8 points).

Four gold medals, three of them in personal sparring and one in team sparring among athletes 12-13 years old in the weight category up to 38 kg, were won by Allanur Yalkabov, who previously received the highest award in kata discipline. Thus, this talented young athlete will return to his homeland with five gold medals!

In the team kumite among teenagers 12-13 years old, together with A. Yalkabov, the 8th grade student of the 8th secondary school of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat Perhat Atamyradov and the 8th grader of the 16th secondary school of Anev of the Akbugday etrap of the Ahal velayat Gurbannazar Amandurdyyev were awarded gold. The last athlete excelled in three more sparrings - Shobu Ippon Kumite, Shobu Sanbon Kumite among athletes 12-13 years old in weight up to 44 kg and Shobu Ippon Kumite in the Open weight category, thus bringing his track record to four gold awards.

Two gold medals were brought to the team of Turkmenistan by a student of the 10th grade of the 20th secondary school of Balkanabat Hemra Begjanov, who had no equal in Shobu Ippon Kumite among boys aged 16-17 in weight up to 76 kg and the open weight category Open.

The highest step of the podium was also raised by: 1st year student of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Yusup Garajayev (VKF Kumite among boys 16-17 years old in the category up to 55 kg), a student of the 10th grade of the 44th secondary school of Ashgabat Sylapberdi Orazgeldiyev (Shobu Ippon Kumite, 14-15 years old, up to 70 kg), 9th grade student of the 55th secondary school of Ashgabat Erkin Taganov (Shobu Ippon Kumite, 14-15 years old, open weight category), student of the 9th grade of the 55th secondary school of Ashgabat Davut Saryyev (Shobu Ippon Kumite, 14-15 years old, up to 52 kg), 10th grader of the 7th secondary school of Gorogly etrap, Dashoguz velayat Shamyrat Myradov (Shobu Sanbon Kumite, 14-15 years old, up to 63 kg), student of the 9th class of the 52nd secondary school of Ashgabat Jora Ovezmyradov (Shobu Sanbon Kumite, 14-15 years old, up to 52 kg) and 10-grader of the 52nd specialized secondary school of Ashgabat Suleyman Gurbanov (Shobu Sanbon Kumite, 16-17 years old, up to 55 kg).

Of the 9 silver medals in our team, three were won by a student of the 10th grade of the 5th secondary school of Akbugday etrap, Ahal velayat, Dovletmyrat Ashyrmuhammedov. He achieved this success in the disciplines of Shobu Ippon Kumite, Shobu Sanbon Kumite and VKF Kumite among cadets aged 14-15 in the category up to 57 kg.

Also, Perhat Atamyradov, who became the silver medalist in Shobu Ippon Kumite, VKF Kumite and Shobu Sanbon Kumite among teenagers 12-13 years old in weight up to 50 kg, rose to the second step of the podium three times.

Silver medals were also awarded to: Rasul Atajanov (Shobu Sanbon Kumite, 16-17 years old, up to 55 kg), Suleyman Gurbanov (Shobu Ippon Kumite, 16-17 years old, open weight category) and Sylapberdi Orazgeldiyev, Jora Ovezmyradov, Erkin Taganov in the team kumite among cadets aged 14-15).

Yusup Garajayev (Shobu Ippon Kumite and Shobu Sanbon Kumite, 16-17 years old, up to 55 kg), Hemra Begjanov (VKF Kumite and Shobu Sanbon Kumite, 16-17 years old, up to 76 kg) and 10th grade student of the 27th secondary school of Akbugday etrap, Ahal velayat Magtymguly Annayev (VKF Kumite and Shobu Sanbon Kumite, 16-17 years old, up to 55 kg).

In personal sparring, bronze medals were also awarded to: Sylapberdi Orazgeldiyev (VKF Kumite, 14-15 years old, up to 70 kg), Erkin Taganov (Shobu Sanbon Kumite, 14-15 years old, up to 52 kg), Shamyrat Myradov (VKF Kumite, 14-15 years, up to 63 kg), Rasul Atajanov (VKF Kumite, 16-17 years old, up to 55 kg), Jora Ovezmyradov (VKF Kumite, 14-15 years old, up to 52 kg).

In the team kumite among cadets aged 14-15, the bronze medalists were Sylapberdi Orazgeldiyev, Jora Ovezmyradov and Erkin Taganov.

Two more bronzes in the discipline of kata were won by Davut Saryyev among athletes aged 14-15 and Islam Annaorazov among young men aged 16-17.

Remind that on the first day of the World Championship four awards of the highest standard in combat sparring among teenagers 10-11 years old were won by a 5th grade student of the 1st specialized secondary school with in-depth study of foreign languages of the Gokdepe etrap, Ahal velayat Ovezmyrat Sapadurdyyev.

Thus, after two days of competition, Turkmen karatekas have 46 medals, of which 23 are gold, 9 are silver and 14 are bronze.

On the final day of the World Championships-2022, awards will be drawn among adult athletes.
