Expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity to discuss important issues of the long-term fruitful cooperation during a personal meeting, the guest congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on the great holiday – the 25th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan and expressed the best wishes to the leader of Turkmenistan and Turkmen people.

The businessman underlined that John Deere was sincerely proud of almost 25 years of cooperation with our country. Significant results have been achieved in developing the national economy, including such an important sector as agriculture, under the wise leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In particular, the country has fulfilled the task to achieve food security and exports grain and cotton.

Thanking for the congratulations and kind words, the Turkmen leader noted that Turkmenistan was always open for mutually beneficial business contacts with the leading representatives of the world business community, including the US business market. Emphasizing that our country attached particular importance to building capacity of the agricultural sector and modernizing this significant area, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction that John Deere ranked among the long-standing and reliable partners of the agro-industrial sector of Turkmenistan.

The prospects of business cooperation in the context of the further development of the agro-industrial sector of Turkmenistan that stands for the use of the most advanced scientific achievements, technologies and innovations were discussed during the meeting.

In this regard, Mr. Markwart von Pentz emphasized that John Deere was ready to offer a wide range of modern agricultural machinery, designed for the complete cycle of field works, in particular cotton harvesters and combine harvesters, tractors and various agricultural equipment, to Turkmen partners.

In conclusion, having thanked once again the Turkmen leader for giving credence, the representative of John Deere assured that the company would continue to make every effort to strengthen its position in the promising Turkmen market that provided all necessary conditions to business operation, including the well-thought-out investment policy and the tremendous economic and resource potential of the country.
