Three matches in Ashgabat, Mary and Turkmenbashy kicked off the 14th round of the championship of Turkmenistan on football among clubs of the highest league.

The game ended first in Buzmeyin etrap of the capital, where the current champion «Altyn Asyr» hosted the outsider of the national championship - the Balkanabat «Nebitchi».

After this victory, «Altyn Asyr» scored 31 points, reducing the gap from the leading «Ahal» to four points, which, however, played a match less.

«Kopetdag» moved up to the third position with 24 points, beating «Energetik» in Mary - 1:0. Fatal for the hosts was the 15th minute of the meeting, in which the guests, having beaten off a corner, organized the exit of three players for one defender and goalkeeper. In the final stage of the counterattack, Shamammet Hydyrov, with a brilliant pass, brought one on one with the goalkeeper Ovezbay Muhammetmyradov, and he shot into the far corner without interference.

At the 58th minute «Kopetdag» could increase the score. However, Shiri Annayev did not convert a 11-meter free kick, which was awarded for a foul by the defender of «Energetik» Atamyrat Saparlyyev in his own penalty area on Shamammet Hydyrov. The penalty was saved by goalkeeper Faruh Ishniyazov, who came on as a substitute after the break.

«Merv» dropped to the fourth position in the standings with 22 points, losing away to the Turkmenbashy «Shagadam» - 1:2. The winners scored Roman Galkin (11th minute) and Mekan Ashyrov (54th - from the penalty spot), and the losers - Dovletmyrat Dovletmyradov (77th).

Thus, «Shagadam» took revenge for the defeat in the first round - 1:4 and reduced the gap to 3 points from the fourth-placed «Merv».

The 14th round will end with the match «Ahal» - «Ashgabat». This will be the second game of the opponents this year. The meeting of the first round ended with the victory of «Ahal» - 3:2.
