A weighty application for reaching the final of the Cup of Turkmenistan-2022 on football was made by the Turkmenbashi "Shagadam" and "Ahal". In the first matches of the 1/2 finals, they prevailed over their rivals.

The current owner of the trophy "Shagadam" confidently won in his field against "Ashgabat" - 3:0. Goals scored by: Mekan Ashirov (44th minute), Kerim Khodjaberdiyev (58th) and Ikhlas Magtymov (73rd).

And "Akhal" on a visit defeated its principal rival "Altyn Asyr" - 2:1. It is noteworthy that three days ago these clubs already met each other at the Sport Toplumy stadium in the Buzmeyinsky etrap of the capital as part of the championship of Turkmenistan. And then the teams parted in peace - 0:0.

This time, Akhal turned out to be luckier, which, thanks to Didar Durdyev's brace (13th and 25th minutes), won after the first half - 2:0. At the 56th minute, both teams remained in incomplete squads due to the mutual removal of Furkat Tursunov (Altyn Asyr) and Meilis Diniev (Akhal). At the 65th minute, Ikhlas Toyjanov scored one goal. But the reigning 8-time champion of Turkmenistan failed to avoid defeat.

It is noteworthy that last year the cup paths of these teams also crossed at the semi-final stage, in which the fate of the finalist was decided in one match. And then "Akhal" knocked out "Altyn Asyr" from the draw, taking the upper hand with a score of 2:1.

This year, the finalists of the Cup of Turkmenistan will be determined based on the results of two games.

The return semi-finals will take place on November 22.
