Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet in person to discuss topical issues of cooperation, the guest conveyed the warm greetings of the acting President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev, who addressed to the leader of the nation and the people of Turkmenistan sincere wishes of peace, happiness and well-being. As stressed, Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the development of full-scale dialogue with Turkmenistan, which is based on mutual goodwill of the sides, filled with new content from year to year .

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expresses the best wishes to the senior management of the friendly country, with which our country is associated traditionally close and friendly relations. Strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation with its immediate neighbors, including Uzbekistan, which acts the strategic priority of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, sais the leader of the nation.

During the meeting the Turkmen leader and his guest discuss the state and prospects of the Turkmen-Uzbek partnership in its key areas in the context of the implementation of the previously reached bilateral agreements, priorities of socio-economic development of two countries and plans for the perspectives. As noted that there are good opportunities for building productive relations in trade and economic sphere, the agricultural sectors and other spheres. Here, a significant role for the Joint Turkmen-Uzbek Commission as an effective mechanism for the revitalization and diversification of business contacts.

Among the current vectors of interaction it is also named the transport and communications sector, where Turkmenistan is implementing a number of large-scale projects of international significance.

The optimal implementation of the existing potential cooperation in transit-transport sector meets the objectives of the dynamic development of the entire region, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invites the representatives of Uzbekistan to to take part in the first Global Conference on the sustainable transport system under the auspices of the UN, to be held in Ashgabat on 26-27 November of this year.

As kindly noted an integral part of inter-state dialogue, certainly, in favor of interaction in the humanitarian sphere due to the historical roots of the common cultural and spiritual values and the centuries-old traditions of the Turkmen and Uzbek peoples.

In conclusion, President of Turkmenistan and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan express mutual confidence in the inviolability of good neighborly relations and successful continuation of constructive cooperation that meets the interests of both countries and peoples.

The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Akmalzhon Kuchkarov.
