The past week was marked by further social and economic progress and cardinal changes that fully reflected the huge economic and humanitarian potential of the country and the successes achieved under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the Epoch of the Revival of a new era of powerful state.

On November 7, the President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting via the digital system, during which the dynamics of seasonal field work in the regions, as well as the development of the agricultural sector, were considered.

The head of state focused on the importance of successfully holding the cotton harvest and harvesting “white gold” to the last box, completing wheat sowing within agrotechnical terms, providing the population with potatoes, vegetables and other agricultural products produced in the country in full.

Along with this, the construction of social and industrial facilities, as well as preparations for the festive events on the occasion of the Harvest Festival, should be kept under unremitting control.

On the same day, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu.

During the conversation, it was noted that Turkmenistan and the United States intend to continue multi-vector cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats, within the framework of authoritative international organizations, primarily the UN, in order to achieve sustainable development and general well-being.

In the context of discussing the prospects for trade and economic partnership, which is one of the priority areas of Turkmen-American relations, the significant role of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council, which is directly involved in holding joint business fora, exhibitions, meetings, contributing to the deepening of mutually beneficial ties in key sectors of the economy, was highlighted.

Attention was also paid to interaction in the fields of culture, education, science and technology, joint projects to study and preserve the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, contacts in the field of ecology, including in the field of climate change.

On November 9, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a solemn ceremony was held to put into operation a complex of mudflow diversion facilities in the southern part of the capital.

The construction of a new engineering and technical complex with a length of 49 kilometers was carried out by the Russian Joint Stock Company Production Association Vozrozhdenie. During its construction, the latest architectural and engineering solutions and advanced digital technologies were used.

This project was carried out jointly by the Russian and Turkmen design institutes - Sevkavgiprovodkhoz and Türkmensuwylymtaslama, as well as specialists from the Scientific Research Institute of Seismic Construction of Turkmenistan.

The uniqueness of the large-scale scope of work carried out is confirmed by many scientific communities in Russia and Turkmenistan and marked with appropriate certificates.

Upon completion of familiarization with the features of the important new building, the head of state wished the staff of the complex success in their work and handed over the keys to new cars and specialized construction equipment intended for its workers.

Priority tasks for further progressive development of Turkmenistan were put on the agenda of the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held digitally on November 11.

The topics discussed included further strengthening of the national legislative framework, improving the efficiency of state property management, creating a favorable business environment, building up the production potential of the fuel and energy complex, the chemical industry, the industrial complex and the construction industry.

The issues of improving the activities of fisheries enterprises, the effective use of transport and transit corridors, and the intensification of preventive and research activities of medical institutions were also considered.

Information was provided on preparations for events in honor of the International Day of Neutrality, the festival of friendship between the Turkmen and Uzbek peoples, the organization of exhibitions, fairs, conferences and festivals in 2023, planned by the ministries and departments of the country.

It was also reported that on the eve of the Harvest Festival, which is widely celebrated annually in Turkmenistan, the contractual obligations of cotton growers of the Balkan velayat to collect "white gold" and farmers of the Dashoguz velayat to harvest rice were fulfilled.

Having heartily congratulated the workers of the agrarian sector, the head of state wished them further great success in their creative work in order to ensure food abundance in the country.

At the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on awarding state awards to farmers and agricultural workers who distinguished themselves in work and achieved high results, and also approved the Procedure for transferring state property into trust management on a competitive basis and the Procedure for charging a fee for obtaining a numbering resource from a telecom operator and the amount the fee charged.

Last week, the head of state also signed a Resolution approving the Strategy for Increasing Vitamin D-Related Preventive Measures in Turkmenistan for 2023-2028 and the Action Plan for its Implementation.

Topical issues of further development of the established constructive interstate dialogue were discussed during a telephone conversation held last week between the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, took part as an honored guest in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, held in the city of Samarkand.

The agenda of the Summit included a wide range of issues, including discussion of ways to build up multilateral partnership in key areas, priority tasks for the further development of the organization, as well as topical topics of regional and international issues.

Speaking at the forum, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that while promoting the approaches typical for the modern conjuncture of international relations, Turkmenistan proceeds from the need for consistent consolidation of the efforts of states in order to achieve the main strategic goal - ensuring universal stability and security in decision-making through strict observance of the norms of international law and the Charter of the United Nations Organization.

As noted, the political situation, emerging in a number of regions of the Eurasian continent, requires a very thoughtful, clear and serious assessment and the adoption of adequate measures.

In this regard, the opinion was expressed that the Organization of Turkic States, both autonomously and in close cooperation with the world community, should do everything necessary to end conflicts and develop far-sighted, responsible solutions.

Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov recalled that last year Turkmenistan joined the Organization of Turkic States as an observer, which marked a new milestone in diverse cooperation with fraternal countries. And, as noted, the strategic task of Turkmenistan is to promote the capacity building of the Organization in the trade, economic, industrial, transport, environmental, cultural and humanitarian fields.

Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed his gratitude to all member countries of the Organization of Turkic States for their support within the framework of TURKSOY of Turkmenistan's proposal to declare 2024 the Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world Magtymguly Fraghi and to proclaim the ancient city of Anau the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024.

At the end of his speech, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again emphasized the relevance of further strengthening the unity and cohesion between neighboring and fraternal peoples united by a common history and origin, expressing the readiness of Turkmenistan for close cooperation to achieve the lofty goals - ensuring peace, prosperity and progress.

As a result of the meeting, the Samarkand Declaration was adopted, aimed at further expanding multifaceted cooperation within the Organization. In addition, a decision was made to approve the candidacy of Kubanychbek Omuraliev for the post of Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States.

At the end of the Summit, in the hall of ceremonial events, the ceremony of awarding the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan with the “Highest Order of the Turkic World”, as well as the awarding of the Kyrgyz writer, prominent public figure and humanist Chingiz Aitmatov with the established International Prize of the Organization Turkic states named after Alisher Navoi “For contribution to the unity of the Turkic world.”

As part of his stay in Samarkand, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held separate bilateral meetings with the heads of friendly states - with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

During the meetings, key areas of cooperation were discussed, taking into account the existing prospects and modern realities, and special attention was paid to the importance of further development of inter-parliamentary relations.

On November 12, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working trip to Mary velayat, got acquainted with the course of seasonal campaigns in the region.

Hero-Arkadag visited the plot of a tenant-cotton grower in the “Milli goşun” daikhan association and the wheat fields of one of the farmers of the “Zarpçy” daikhan association, asked the village workers about work, family, and about the support measures provided by the state.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty also got acquainted with the activities of the Mary enterprise of bakery products of the production association “Marygallaönümleri”. On the territory of the production complex, equipped with the most modern equipment, there is an elevator designed to store 50,000 tons of wheat per year.

Focusing on the need for regular implementation of best practices and scientific achievements in all areas of the country's agro-industrial complex, Hero-Arkadag spoke about the great importance of the scientific work of breeders. As noted, the preparation of high-quality seeds is important in agriculture, therefore, special attention should be paid to the effective establishment of this activity and the training of highly qualified personnel in this area.

Noting that among the national values created by our glorious ancestors throughout the centuries-old history, a significant place is given to the conscientious and selfless work of farmers, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh drew attention to the need to continue these principles, educate the younger generation on them. The large-scale work carried out in our Fatherland, the successes achieved are reflected in the daily life of the people.

Issues related to the socio-economic development of the regions, the proper conduct of agricultural work and the introduction of the achievements of modern science into production were discussed at a working meeting held here with the participation of the leaders of the political parties of the country and the hyakim of the Mary velayat.

Stressing that the necessary conditions will continue to be created for the highly productive work of tenants and for their generous harvests, Hero-Arkadag congratulated everyone on the Harvest Festival, wishing the farmers success in their noble activities.

Among other events of the past week is the twenty-first meeting of the Mejlis Milli Gengesh of the sixth convocation.

During the meeting, the parliamentarians discussed achievements in the state and public life of the country, the main approaches and principles for drafting the State Budget for 2023, the specifics of the formation of its revenue side and unanimously voted for the adoption of the draft Law “On the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2023”. Also, the Resolution of the Mejlis “On the execution of the State budget of Turkmenistan for 2021” was unanimously adopted.

Days of Korean culture were held in Turkmenistan, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The events organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan with the assistance of the ministries of culture and education of our country, as well as the hyakimlik of the city of Ashgabat, included acquaintance with modern music and cinema of the friendly people, their richest traditions and customs.

Ashgabat hosted the XV International Exhibition and Scientific Conference of Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technologies and Broadcasting Equipment “Türkmentel-2022”.

The review was attended by delegations from about two dozen countries, which represented various foreign state industry structures, leading companies in the world - manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech equipment, developers of advanced technologies and services, major international telecom operators and software.

The specialized forum provided an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest technologies that can be introduced in Turkmenistan in the near future.

The main topics of the scientific conference included the development of digital transformation of innovative, information and communication technologies in Turkmenistan, new satellite technologies and applications, as well as solutions and modern management trends.

As the speakers emphasized, our country has made a major technological breakthrough, which became possible due to the successful implementation of the long-term Program for the socio-economic development of the state.

The forum delegates paid special attention to the prospects for the development of key areas of the communications complex, exchanged views on issues such as satellite communications technologies and the software market, digitalization, cybersecurity, and also discussed forms of further cooperation and investment opportunities.

Within the framework of the conference, the results of the next student competition “Digital Solution-2022” were summed up.

Last Sunday, Mekan Palace in the capital hosted celebrations on the occasion of the Harvest Festival, which is widely celebrated in the country, embodying national pride in the results of the selfless labor of farmers, generous harvests grown on the fertile Turkmen land.

On the eve, honoring of advanced tenants, machine operators, agronomists, breeders and other agricultural specialists who make a worthy contribution to the development of the domestic agro-industrial complex took place. In accordance with the Decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the leaders of the agricultural sector, who achieved the highest results this year, were awarded the medal “Watana bolan söýgüsi üçin”, as well as valuable gifts on behalf of the head of state.

On the occasion of the Harvest Festival in the conference hall of the administrative building of the Agricultural Complex, a scientific and practical conference "Achievements of the country's agricultural sector in the Epoch of the Revival of the new era of powerful state and goals for the future” was organized.

The forum was attended by specialists from industry departments, representatives of the Agrarian Party, business entities and entrepreneurs, scientists and experts in the field, students.

Among the main topics of the conference are transformations in the domestic agro-industrial complex, the application of scientific achievements in the cultivation of crops and selection.

In honor of the Harvest Festival, solemn meetings and honoring of the foremost farmers, as well as concerts, sports competitions and other cultural events were held in the velayats and etraps, in cities and villages of the country.

Acting as a hymn to the industriousness and creative talent of domestic farmers, the Harvest Festival, symbolizing the fertility of the Turkmen land, the abundance of our sachaks, has become a clear evidence of the high spiritual and cultural guidelines and principles of large-scale reforms carried out by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov aimed at systematically improving the living standards and welfare of the Turkmen people, inspiring them to new achievements.
