The geographical information system laboratory of the Technology Centre under the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan completed the work on the Turkmenbasi route road map in the Turkmen language. One of the popular in the world GPS devices - Garmin will be used in our country.

The digital vector map, which consists of topologically connected arcs and knots, is used as a foundation for the first in Turkmenistan route road map. The specialists of the geographical information system laboratory developed a multi-layered structure to configure the data provided by various departments of the country and transfer them to the electronic plane.

The graphic chart of roads was developed in compliance with international requirements set to navigation maps. The optimal route is built given the speed, type, class, and road capacity.
