Turkmen capital held the negotiations of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas who arrived on the day before with first official visit.
In the morning, the motorcade of high-rank guest with honour guard by group of motorcyclists and after escorted by the group of horse riders proceeded from Oghuzkent hotel to the Independence Square where official meeting of the President of Palestine was held.
After, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the State of Palestine proceeded to the Palace Complex.
After traditional photographing on the background of the State flags of both countries, bilateral high-level talks in one-to-one took place.
Having warmly welcomed the President of Palestine, the Head of Turkmenistan expressed the gratitude to Mahmoud Abbas for accepted invitation to visit our country and expressed the confidence that this historical meeting would give start to new stage of mutually beneficial, large-format cooperation, which dynamically develops during last 25 years since diplomatic relations between two states were established in the spring of 1992.
It was highlighted that sovereign Turkmenistan entirely interested in comprehensive development of equal, friendly relations with all countries of the world including the Middle East countries in particular with Palestine.
Having underlined the confidence that the visit of Palestinian Leader would become an important milestone in the history of constructive interstate dialog, the Leader of the Nation mentioned that there are many subjects in the agenda related to cooperation of both countries in various directions including trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, particularly education and tourism.
