The Chairperson of the Mejlis told to the President of the State of Palestine about state programmes in the country, under which the construction of schools, kindergartens, universities, recreational and medical centres, sport facilities, comfort living houses undergoes in the capital and the regions, as well as on unprecedented social benefits.
In this context the importance of new edition of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, which was adopted after all-people review during the Council of the Elders in the autumn of the current year, was highlighted.
During the meeting, the sides shared the visions on existing potential and opportunities of cooperation, on appropriateness of establishment of closer relations between legislation bodies of two countries.
President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas highly evaluated successes and achievements of neutral Turkmenistan, which peace-loving and creative policy gained approval and support of the world community. Speaking of actual results of his visit, the guest highlighted that all agreements, achieved in Ashgabat, would undoubtedly enhance improvement of productive interstate dialog at modern stage.
After the visit, President Mahmoud Abbas proceeded to Ashgabat International Airport from where he left for his country.
