Today, the elections of the Mejlis deputies underway in the electoral district № 24 of "Dushak" in Akhal region, the electoral district № 119 of "Atchapar", and the electoral district № 124 of "Pendi" of Mary region.
It has been the most worthy, highly respected and trusted by citizens compatriots to represent their constituents in the national Parliament. Several candidates have been registered for one the post of Mejlis deputy. Thus, today's election, like all the previous ones were held on a wide alternative basis for the principles of democracy and openness.
To participate in voting for the election of the Mejlis deputies in three constituencies 75 thousand 568 voters have been reported.By the end of the socio-political campaign- by 19:00 there were 90.27 percent of voters voted.
Thus, as confirmed in the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan, in accordance with the country’s effective legislation, elections were declared valid. In the near future it will be released the final results of the voting.
