The opening ceremony of a new laboratory for refrigeration and climate systems was held at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the country's oil and gas university, the media and others.

The opening of a new laboratory at the Innovative Scientific and Educational Centre of the Capital University was preceded by the speeches of the participants of the event. They sounded numerous mutual congratulations and words of gratitude from Turkmen and foreign colleagues, the result of fruitful joint work of which was the opening of an ultramodern laboratory. During the speeches, the importance and tasks of its creation in the context of the modernization of the national education system were emphasized, and the equipment and plans for activities were described.

The Laboratory of Refrigeration and Climate Systems is intended to contribute to the further successful development of science and education. Among the goals is the training of specialists in the field of refrigeration and compressor engineering - students of the faculty of energy and engineering structures of an oil and gas university. Specialists working with refrigeration and air conditioning systems will improve their professional level here, and a program for their retraining and certification will be created. The training of young professionals and the study of modern alternatives aimed at the safe use of natural refrigerants in various industries and the protection of the ozone layer are the primary objectives of this project, which are of great importance at the international level.

Turkmenistan strives to implement these tasks, being among the states parties to the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer and the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, and consistently fulfills its obligations arising from international treaties.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, together with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), is successfully implementing the project «Organizational action plan for the rejection of hydrochlorofluorocarbons», within the framework of which a new laboratory has appeared at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Y. Kakayev.

The laboratory will provide training in eight areas. Among them: Service and maintenance of refrigeration equipment operating on natural refrigerants; Installation and service of highly efficient VRF and VRV air conditioning systems; Installation of domestic, semi-industrial and industrial air conditioning and ventilation systems; Control system and collection, recovery and destruction of refrigerants; Fundamentals of modern design of ventilation and air conditioning systems and other important areas of training.

The ultra-modern laboratory is equipped with advanced training programs and practical tools, it has the necessary material and technical base for high-level training. The laboratory is equipped with the latest experimental equipment, the use of which is aimed at studying the basics of refrigeration systems, analyzing the characteristics of their work, assembling components, disassembling and commissioning systems, performing maintenance or repair work, troubleshooting, flaw detection, welding. Equipment, training simulators are also designed to study modern types and characteristics of refrigerants, determine their condition, and conduct various tests.

Note that the authors and developers of educational interactive stands, specialized programs, simulators are Russian engineers. In the field of science and education, the International University of Oil and Gas maintains successful and mutually beneficial cooperation with leading universities, research centers in Russia, Belarus, Romania, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Austria, Italy and many other countries.

It is symbolic that the opening of a new laboratory for refrigeration and climate systems at the country's oil and gas university took place this year, which is held in Turkmenistan under the motto «Happy youth with Arkadag Serdar». Getting the younger generation modern education that meets world standards, training highly educated, capable and talented professionals with a developed worldview is one of the priorities of state policy.
